Against certain bosses you can summon a NPC to help you in battle even when offline. You'll need to be in human form, though.

Something else that has been beautifully explained lol. How do you summon an NPC then? Not that I'll need one of course ;-) Tonight's challenge is to take down the massive Dragon in a Valley of the Drakes. I'm level 20. Do I have a hope in hell?

You have to be human, find a white sign on the ground, approach it and press X. It's exactly the same as summoning an other player.

Summon NPC - if you are in human form you get summon markers outside some of the boss areas. Select them and the NPC will join your world. I think who you get - if anyone - depends on who you've talked to previously.

I'm level 33 and only just got through the Depths, haven't seen looked at the Valley yet!

Looks like they've sold out everywhere! Some very pricey ones on ebay and Amazon though...

I guess the really were *limited*. Kinda stupid seeing how you only get a mini guide this time around.

Summons come in handy...I think my input into killing the Gargoyles was 2 Pyromancy attacks and a slash

Butterfly down without a summons now tho...but the Raping Dragon is beyond me even with the 2 helpers, frame rate chugging is making me feel sick on that fight too! Plus my pyromancy hand breaks every time I fight him which is a pain.

Its going to bug me in the pub too might drop in a story about it while I listen to the lads moaning about the new defending in FIFA hehe

Aparantly all the guides were sent to the US. We have none over here.

That is pretty poor of them. I've got an order in from amazon and it was supposed to ship yesterday but it's changed to "unknown" now.

Where did you read about them not sending any to the UK?

Because we're so hard we don't need them.

Think it was the publishers Facebook page.

My advice to any guide seekers is check your local Gamestation. I just bought one and there were 3 more copies...
For any locals it was the Erdington High St branch in Brum.

                          Was 20 quid tho btw

I think I'll wait on amazon. Only ?12 on there.

Edit: Hm. Actually I might check some game shops tomorrow. I doubt they'll have it, but a first edition could have more potential value too.

I'd like the guide but I also know it will contain less info the the online wiki and have more errors in it so it's a total waster of money. I still want it though.

To me the fact that it's a strategy guide comes second, I mainly want it for the concept art etc, apparently there's a lot in it.
