Take all your armour off and spam the roll button as you drop down while pulling back towards the door you cam in through. You should make it to an outer pillar without aggro. You'll take about 50% damage so heal and then you can get in behind him.

It's too difficult at the moment. I'll come back later. He's aggro'd as soon as I land. Instant death. I've managed to get about three hits in, in an hour.
      Kept you waiting, huh?

When you enter the room with the collapsing floor walk around the side and go to the other end of the room and throuh the door, acsess the bonfire, that way you will restart there every time. Now when you drop down you should be far enough away that he wont to the shockwave move stright away.

Its actualy a really easy fight as long as you stay behind him, evertime he charges his attack up just back away and he wont get you becuase it mostly effects whats in front of him, mostly.

Considering its an optional area though I wouldnt bother even visiting the Asylum again until youre well into the game, preferably after you have visited Anor Londo and have acsess to some kind o lightning weapon as those make virtualy every single boss fight alot easer.

As soon as I land he does the red attack and I die before I've even got up from the fall.

I'm finding Dark more difficult that Demon's. It's getting on my nerves now.

I couldn't beat the Stray Demon when I first went back to the Asylum either. It's a pretty cheap enemy which requires a high level (I'm thinking at least 50, ideally 60+), good armour, a good weapon and a couple of good rings. And even then it ain't easy.

At first it does seem like Dark Souls is alot harder a game than Demons Souls. However when you factor in things like the fact that you can always kindle bonfires and summon friendly NPC's to help you out with boss fights then game actually becomes alot easier than it first appears (though wether its easier than Demons is another matter).

Although what you are describing shouldnt happen with the boss if you drop where I said too you should probabaly go back to the assylum latter on. I disagree with Charlie that its a cheap boss becuase its very easy once you realise what to do but it will still be alot easier latter on in the game and as you dont have to do it right now then there isnt any need too.

Stray demon is very easy once you get under his crotch! He'll just jump on his bum or do a long charge up to emit red force. Sounds like a vexed demon you have there.

Don't bother with him until you reach

                Andor Londo

                  First session on 360:

                  Killed:
                  Taurus Demon
                  Black Knight x2
                  Capra Demon
                  Moonlight Butterfly

                  Saved:
                  Sorcerer
                  Pyromancer

Opened the forest door for some farming and got invaded by two avenging spirits at the same time! Killed one. Was battling the other one who kept running for cover from my mighty axe. Then the other one re-invaded! Got overwhelmed but not cefore killing the second invader. Was very tense.

The social aspect seems to be busier on 360, although this may be because my SL is lower (30) rather than 136 on PS3. One problem though, I had loads of soul signs in the Depths and I really could have used the help to take out the

                  Gaping Dragon

but none of them worked, not even the

dragon invader... Guttted as it was my first one of them.

Can't seem to get my Balder side sword to drop so have settled on an upgraded Bell Gargolye tail axe. Which is doing alright.

Armour, mostly nude to show off my purple hair. Hoping the pendant actually does something this time too...

Tried Stray a few times last night but when I have no armour and am cursed then any attack that makes contact is an insta kill so...

                    I went to

                    New Londor Ruins

killed all the ghosts, grabbed all the shinies and got uncursed. Then kinda hit a dead end with levers that wouldn't move and locked doors so went back with the idea to return to the asylum and try Stray uncursed but messed up the roll to get to

                    the nest

so battled the skellies and then discovered the

                    catacombs

. I hadn't even been there before. Cleared that out pretty much now and seem to be just makign my way downward. Is that what I should be doing? Pushed a bunch of levers to open up walkways, got a ring or two and some new weapons that I don't care about. I'm expecting there to be a boss down there somewhere? Oh, any tips on what to do to progress in

                    new londor

appreciated. Also is there a bonfire down there somewhere? Thanks. I'm well back into this now although Skyrim arrives today so...

I was unhollow and died whilst fighting the

Moonlight Butterfly. I had summoned Witch Beatrice

. Will I still be able to

summon her for the Four Kings fight

                      ?

I've got my parry and riposte technique sorted out too. I've taken out pretty much every Black Knight I've come across so far now.

                        I went to

                        It's worth doing the

Catacombs and get the rite of kindling

                        , but the next area,

the Tomb of Giants, is sealed of until you complete Anor Londo.

To open the closed door i

n New Londo Ruins you either need to complete Anor Londo and talk to Ingward or kill him and ge the key. This will unlock all the lever, but to complete New Londo you have first to kill Silf in Darkroot Garden. New Londo is a relatively small area and there's no bonfire until you defeat the boss there.

Still haven't rung the second bell? If not, that's the next step. If you did,

                            Sen's Fortress

                            . You can leave
                            and

the bottom part of New Londo

                            for later.

Just got two bosses left and my NG+ run is done, with very few things left to do in my third run to clean up the last few achievements Regarding the 1.04 patch, supposedly it has made the matchmaking problems worse rather than better, and a 1.05 patch is due in Japan any day now. Fingers crossed this is the only thing that's stopped the UK/US versions getting 1.04, and we'll be up to date soon enough.

FSW, do you want to invade people as an evil red spirit during this play through?
