Pendant ending is there a third ending? If so please do tell Joe.

Ended up finishing Dark and Demon's Souls on the same day, must say the ending I did for Dark souls is utter rubbish, currently walking through NG+ due to my character being lvl 124 at the end of my first playthrough.

Also started a game as a deprived to see how it plays and justed walk the first two hours by the end of it I had Elite Knight Armour, the boar helmet and a selection of upgrade weapons! Currently farming the Undead Parish boss for it's equipment!

In the Tomb of Giants he's not far from the entrance, near the first bonfire and just above three corpses into a pit; probably you're missing him due to the darkness, he automatically moves to the Tomb when you enter it.
After he kicks you into the pit (where you can get the Skull Lantern, along with other surprises) and you don't kill him, he'll move to Firelink as a merchant,

      just like D'sS.

      Regenerating skeletons:

divine weapon. Even with a necromancer around they won't resurrect.
Bonfire? I have t reached a bonfire in the tomb of the giants, I keep ending up in a big room full of giant skeletons and it's basically impossible to survive so I can only presume I'm going the wrong way.

Edit: nevermind, I just found that bonfire!!

I just did that part where you have to go down 2 ladders to get into that area. Instead of going down there go back round to the left and there should be a bonfire below on your left. It makes it a lot easier if you have something to light your way, I had the Sunlight Maggot. I kept falling down holes before I had that.

Patches is near one of those lights in the area above from the bonfire.

Finished it a few days back too.
          and
went down on the second attempt, which was particularly lovely after my ordeal with

          The Four Kings

          .

          And yeah, the ending is

particularly unsatisfying, and not a patch on the memorable, oddly zen-like sensation of breaking through on Demon's Souls.

But it did somehow make me more eager to go straight through it again. I've started an NG+ and also a new game with a Sorcerer. Never really used magic and it really mixes up my approach...Even the humble Soul Arrow is dead satisfying.

A stone-cold classic, this is, btw. GOTY by miles.

The ending really is unsatisfying, especially after the game's proud opening and the hellishly hard struggle to get to the end. A poor reward indeed.

I don't know if it's my GOTY yet. It's a fantastic game but, thanks to the appalling slowdown, input lag, necessity to farm and general uglyness of the visuals, I feel it trips into greatness, rather than reaching it by design. It wasn't as big a game as I was expecting either. It was definitely longer but quite a bit smaller if you know what I mean.

In regards to the talk of the Tomb of Giants and not being able to see anything, as well as the maggot helm you can use the sorcerery spell 'cast light' which will put a little light on your head.

Flipping hell, Blighttown is hardcore! It took me about ten attempts to make it to the first bonfire, as I couldn't even see that damned

              Blowdart Sniper

. Anyway, I'm all Musashi'd up now as I managed to collect the

              Iaito Sword

              and

              Shadow Armor Set

as well as some loot. I ran past

              the three giants

on the way back out, and they ended up killing themselves whilst chasing me anyway LOL. I might just stay by the entrance and farm them for a while, as I need to up Dexterity to 20 from 16 for the

              Iaito Sword

, and you don't even have to hit them. Tomorrow (Dexterity permitting), I'm off to finally ring that first bell. Shouldn't be a problem I reckon.

Deffo gonna take me longer to platinum this one. I only have around two hours most days to play, whereas I was on Demon's for up to 16 hours at a time.

                Hmm. I tried
earlier. Was hoping to get it out of the way before the 'nerf fuse' patch hits, but it did not go well. On the plus side I have now

severed both Seath's and Priscilla's tails

                .

In a right groundhog day here. I'm cursed and have lit the Depths bonfire. Umpteen times I've gone in with the Gaping Dragon, doing well only to have it pounce on my head. I cant seem to get a rhythm for its jump.

Im being stubborn by staying til Ive done him.

Only during my third playthrough I wasn't able to get the

Gaping Dragon replicate the usual stomp/run routine and have it jump once, but I was being careless and even died once because I got too near when the it hadn't finished running.
Anyway, if your equipment burden is above 50%, I'd recommend to ditch it for better mobility. If the Gaping Dragon shows its mouth/ribcage, run away from it (but not too far) and after a while it should return to its normal stance (often by stomping and releasing a yellow acid cloud) and then start running. After hitting it as many times as possible, just run away parallelel to its body and it should show its ribcage again, stomp and run.

Done it! Felt rewarding doing it cursed and naked.

Had something weird happen with covenants last night, can anyone explain?

I'm in Blades of the Darkmoon, and have been getting summoned to Anor Londo as a blue spirit quite a lot. Annoyingly a lot of people I'm invading have got white & gold spirits on their side too and double team me straight away. Anyway, I was in Darkwood Basin wearing the covenant ring, and was not human or carrying humanity, when I got the message up telling me I was about to invade. It brought me into Anor Londo, but as a red spirit? I ended up dying, and lost my souls in the process, which were left in Darkwood at the spot I was standing when I was summoned, whereas normally if I die as a blue spirit I come back at my last bonfire with all of my souls intact. I thought Darkmoon was only meant to summon you as a blue spirit? If you kill someone as a red spirit aren't you potentially going to end up in the book of the guilty?

                          Hmm.

I've now used nearly all of the boss souls, and am only missing 6 weapons total. I need miracles from a few covenants & NPCs still, but I feel like I'm nearly there. But I do need to work out better ways of handling

4 Kings & Nito, as they are giving me serious grief

                          .

Pyro and Strong Magic Shield. You'll trollololol away into the distance.
Just make sure you lock on to Nito and not one of the skeletons. The AoE will take care off the minions.

Two tips that will make the game much easier:

the pyromancer spell 'iron flesh' makes any encounter much easier and pretty much negates the need to block. Combine that with the Cloranthy Ring (found in the Great Hollow) which doubles stamina regeneration speed and you can hack down any foe, including all bosses, in quick time. Indeed once I'd gotten the ring and spell all my struggling ended.

You could argue they make the game too easy.

Yeah I am thinking Iron Flesh with heavy armour for the bed of chaos. Will give him a go with speed and the ring that makes you flip before going heavy.
