Can the Four Kings even be beaten?
I'm furious. I got all the way to the gate, summoned Beatrice and she just jumped to her death. WTF? That seemed like my only decent chance of beating them too.
Also, when I get invaded what is this spell that stops me from running that EVERYBODY uses?Kept you waiting, huh?

Nice quick way to the four kings from firelink is run past the first 2 ghosts across the bridge, go right of the first stair case and roll off the edge into the shallow water with about 4 Dark Wraiths to fight. If your fast just leg it past everything into the fog door.
The spell being used against you is 'over encumber' (I think). It's like your wearing iron skin without the protection and I think its learnt through the miracles teacher. The stone giants (Jimtendo corrected me) use it in dark root forest. Glad I got my PVP in before that became a fav!Last edited by 'Press Start'; 27-11-2011, 22:39.

Thankfully it's been nerfed a bit. The stone giants (Darkroot Basin) drop a stone sword which has a similar effect, where the target (when hit) has reduced run/ roll capabilities.
Troll city tis PvP.

Most invaders dont seem to have a plan B so this is a brilliant strategy really.Last edited by rmoxon; 27-11-2011, 23:12.

An invader tried to pull this off once in the Painted World but I was able to get to him, start a two-handed combo with a greatsword and was dead shortly after finished the casting.
Ok, so Havel's Armor and ring, and Grass Crest Shield. What weapon though?

By the way a good tip for the four kings is while your stamina is recharging circle around the one you havea lock on to the right (their left), half of their attacks will miss you.Last edited by rmoxon; 28-11-2011, 11:20.

I didn't know that!
I still think that having a second target to take aggro is a much bigger benefit though. Regarding your particular plight J0e, I'd say your problem is the damage output. ~100 doesn't seem enough for that fight, and as general advice you want to kill them asap - the longer the fight goes on, it gets exponentially harder. Don't do enough damage and you will end up in all kinds of trouble.
