Do tell. I had one but never knew what it was for.

The wiki says it's the Chaos Blade that scales with humanity. I think it's right because the Fury sword does pretty good damage and I never have any humanity .

I'd use this wiki instead, the Wikispace one does not mention humanity with the Furysword which is something I'm sure about because I used it for a certain amount of time and it did scale with humanity.

Ok, NG+ down. Had to resort to dirty tactics (Havel cosplay + iron flesh) for a certain boss, but let's not talk about that.

For the rare weapons achievement I just need to

kill Sif and get his soul to Anor Londo's blacksmith

, and for all miracles it should just be a case of

seeing Siegmeyer through Anor Londo, opening up Sun Brothers, getting the 2 extra medals I need (again, Anor Londo), and trading in Gwyn's soul

          .

Anyone have any protips on best spots to get summoned? I'm level 145 now and either have to help people out with 5 bosses, grind an extra 25 levels for faith (ugh), or wait for a patch (double ugh).

            I'd say

            Four Kings

            and
are the bosses that most people find difficult. Maybe the

Centipede demon due to the horrible camera

            .

Oh there's 2 wiki's? Weird. Yeah I see what you mean now, seems the humanity doesn't effect it too much though, which is probably why I never noticed it. Well guess I'll start working on a fire Balder sword, see how that works out.

After much internet searching I too knows what it does.

"Which is nothing it's the item you take if you don't want to take a starting gift as it offers nothing and just makes the game harder because you don't have a starting gift. There was an interview with a from software member of staff and he was misquoted the item does nothing and that's why he said players should take it, it doesn't add anything to the story"

On a side note I'm racing through NG+, but the bad balancing for the weapons is becoming very noticeable alot of the weapons even maxed out are just rubbish to use and inflict next to no damage. Still my halberd +15 kills everything just need to upgrade the black knight and gargoyle halberds and I'll be sorted for all playthrough!

Does anyone here understand the secondary effect of the Havel Shield? Hold LT (or parry) with it equipped and a load of black spikes pop out of your armour but I never figured out what the advantages to that are.

Cause damage rolling into enemies maybe? I think I've seen that fact pop up during a loading screen.

That's the armour of thorns dropped by a NPC red phantom...Havel's Shield's special property is to increase defense for a short period of time and eat a huge amount of durability. A grey icon with a shield and an arrow pointing up appears when this effect is triggered.

Increase defense, really? Interesting. Whenever I used it I found myself getting hacked down even quicker. I guess I must have just played considerably ****ter whenever I used it. Haha.

Memory is failing me, but have

                          Black Knights

                          ever been in the

                          Tomb of the Giants

? I went back to finish NG++ (or, at least, get to
and wait the patch to start NG+++) and after passing the white fog past
                          , a

                          Black Knight with an halberd

attacked me. He was nice enough to drop his weapon and a Titanite chunck, but I don't recall any of them in my previous playthroughs. Can someone confirm?

Yep, there is one after the fog on all playthroughs.

Where is the best place to farm souls? I need 150000 for absolution. I've been in Sen's Fortress getting 2200 in two minutes, but it's getting boring.
                              Kept you waiting, huh?

                                You need to get the

crest of Astorias and find the hidden bonfire to the left of the crest door in the Darkmoon basin. Make sure that you aren't in the Forest Hunter covenant and kill the human enemies inside the forest. One knight won't respawn (neither will an archer but I never bother killing him) but there is an axe wielder, mage, invisible assassin and sorcerer that will net you a ton of souls. You can make this easier by aggroing all of them and running back to the cliff edge right by the crest entrance. Hold your shield up and most of the time (but not all) the enemies will fall onto you and bounce of your shield right off the cliff. Maximum soul winnage right there mate.
