J0e, despite what I posted above (which in your first game will net you 12,000 souls in 2 mins), I never paid for absolution. It has never affected me.

After you attack the big woman in Anar Londo and the world turns dark there'll be 2 NPC's in the big hall where the 2 bosses where. You kill them for 5k souls each and they keep respawning. They dissapear once you kill the new boss though.

Thanks Blair, I have 20K so I'll do that, I can get the Black Bow of Pharis whilst I'm at it, as I want that anyway.

The reason I want absolution is because it appears that I can no longer get humanity. The undead female merchant doesn't sell it anymore, and I've killed about 100 rats without a single drop. This came from killing Dark Sun Gwyndolin, which I only did so I could get the Darkmoon Bow, and it turns out I can't even use until my Faith is at 16. The Ando Londor flame keeper then turned hostile on me, so I had to kill her, meaning no bonfire there anymore. I've sodded my game right up at the moment.
        Kept you waiting, huh?

You can, the important thing is to have strenght and dexterity to wield it. Not having enough Faith will scale down magic damage only. You'll see that arrows bounce off targets, but there will be full physical damage (if STR and DEX are OK) and just part of the base magical damage.

          Killing

          Gwyndolin

does not affect any kind of drop. Equip the Gold Serpent ring and maybe use a couple of humanity items to get points, this will boost item drop, even when undead. If you haven't any Firekeeper alive (and you can't upgrade the Estus Flask,

which maxes out at +7 anyway

) you can use Firekeeper Souls to get 5 humanity points.
          If you can get to
, you can farm humanity from the

          skeleton babies

          just before its lair.

Aha, I see. I'm getting 65 damage from each arrow with the Darkmoon Bow with standard arrows, so that's pretty decent.

Why doesn't the undead female merchant sell humanity anymore then?

I'll head for Nito after I get the Black Bow of Pharis in that case.

            Thanks guys.

Never bought humanity, maybe it's a limited supply item from that merchant, it wouldn't be the only item in the game.

It is a limited from the female merchant - I tried to buy loads, but they sold out eventually.

I only managed to buy one humanity from here before supply ran out ...

                    I just beat

                    Ornstein & Smough

. Everybody I talked to warned me about that fight so I chickened out completely.

Summoned both a player and the Knight Solaire. This turned the fight into a complete cake walk. A bit anti-climactic actually :|

I ended up getting one in my local Game, but I just got a mail from The Book Depository to tell me that the guide for this is now back in stock, at a rather tasty ?11.57 - link. Hope it helps some of you!

I'm addicted to soul farming. I've been in Darkmoon Basin for over 48 hours now. 12000 souls in three minutes is pretty decent. Once I get everything to level 38 I'll leave. Maybe.

It's for a downloadable version of the guide isn't it? Must admit, I haven't even looked at my code.
