I just took a break with the campaign mode and played a bit with the raid mode.
The raid mode is pretty good. It has some RPG elements thing going on, once you get a level up you can use better weapons. Besides that, you can spend your BP and coins to buy new equipments, like higher level weapons, increase carrying capacity for herbs, ammo and so on. One thing I didn't get at the beginning was, weapons have levels as well, and you can only use them if you have reached the level.
What fun is, the enemies have perks themselves and you get enemies in different sizes as well, big slow ones and small quick dwarfs, which can be trouble some.

Yes you need to complete episodes 1-3 in the main game

Really loving this, the atmosphere is just supurb creepy dark locations with the enemies spawning form all directions when you are on the ghost ship. Add in some of the best graphics and sound on the 3ds and this is a real winner.

I am also shocked as to how good the circle pad is and while the standard controls are functionable the circle pad makes everything easier and gives that extra level of aim.

Anybody on the fence i say buy this, by far the best third party game on the 3ds.

I'm loving it too, Edge and GamesTM must be playing a different game from me, 6 out of 10, subscription cancelled to both. Loving using genesis trying to scan B.O.W's and such adds suspense and freaks me out as i get nervy using it.

on episode 7 now agree with MisterBubbles and The Mole this is a great handheld title and I'm glad I purchased the circle pad pro as I find it makes a hell of a difference to gameplay faster and smoother movement

I bought this on a (very expensive) whim yesterday and I am REALLY glad I did.

The main campaign is better than the demo, the first boss is fantastic as well, tough, a bit creepy and even though you have

it doesn't affect the atmosphere anywhere near as bad as RE:5.

As for Raid mode, it is fantastic, hard to explain exactly why because it is just campaign remixed but highly addictive. Quick question though, is anyone having problems getting an online Raid game? I can connect but I keep losing connection halfway through a round. It is really grinding my gears.

Controls without the slide pad are fine. I recently played RE4 HD so playing a Resident Evil without dual analogue controls isn't a problem.
