I'm kind of in the same place with it. Love how it looks and how it sounds and I'm enjoying it so far but not exactly blown away yet. I don't like the swipe to dodge controls at all.

Great looking town though and really lovely atmosphere. Aesthetically, it's great.

if you ditch the right stick and learn to use the gyro it does become a way better game for it

Quite a few chapters into this now and I love it. The setting, the storyline and the flying are making it for me. You've gotta use the gyro Crazytaxi - it's way more precise than the right stick. I think of the right stick as the way Kat is facing, and then the gyro where her head is actually looking. In tandem they work very well together imo.

I'll give it a go, typically I hate the gyro as it goes completely against natural relaxed play. If it's responsiove that I don't have to pivot myself I'll stick with it.

It is definitely responsive enough that you don't have to pivot yourself. As I say though, you do still have to use the right stick to point yourself in the right general direction, then gyro for precise aiming.

Gave the gryro a go, good heads up Mixed with the right analogue it's easier and keeps my thumb free for the mid air combat.

The combat though does seem to be getting worse. I think I'd have preferred this to be a platform puzzler outright and have no enemies.

                Mid-air enemies

I'm enjoying this, I think I'm about 1/4 of the way through and still hoping the gameplay expands. Whilst it's a nicely put together and fun game I can't help so far but feel reviewers and some peeps have gotten very carried away with this as there still doesn't seem to be much meat to it and there are some irritations. Maybe it stands out because the Vita is so starved right now but so far it's not even the best game on Vita, let alone other formats. Hopefully it will fulfill the concepts potential by the end.

It reminds me of the 1st Assassins Creed in so much as its a magnificent realisation but one that lacks substance. The potential for a near perfect sequel is immense though if they expand on the formula they've put in place.

Fought Alias today after Chapter 9....it was about as annoying a fight as I have ever had in a game. Landing blows on the snakes was hard enough, him regaining health and it failing to register the finishing move to let him get his health back again was enough for me. Control issues have ruined it for me...such a shame.

Not sure why you had a problem. I have very poor hand control, due to Cerebral Palsy, found it easy enough. Just stayed out of his way until Kat's special moves regenerated. Which is a good plan for all the major fights in the game I've encountered so far.

I don't use any gyro controls.

The bosses continue to be very badly implemented and I'd be lying if I didn't say I was finding the chapters to be getting a bit on the dull side. It's too wafer thin on gameplay, mostly comprising of walking/flying from A-B then job done. I enjoy it and get frustrated in equal measure, it's like a really polished PSN game rather than a full on retail release game. I doubt there'll be one but I hope one day a sequel or something similar is made that actually does something with the concept.

I'm going to make a very belated move on to Unit 13 now so ready to sell this on. If you have a Vita I'd recommend a playthrough as it's a fun game but its basic gameplay and clumsy faults mean I couldn't give it higher than a 7/10 as art style and soundtrack carry it a fair bit.

Finished this today. Wonderful game. Can't understand most of you having trouble with this, found the combat a cinch. Didn't come across any issues.

The only problems i did have was that it was relatively short and i felt it was a game of two halves. Which is why i wasn't surprised a sequel is in the works. Wonderful music and great art-style. Feels really good to play a game that is unique. Looking forward to the sequel.

                            Gets an 8/10 from me.

Back playing this as daughter has commandeered the 3ds and animal crossing.

Love it. Had trouble fighting Raven but the realised I'd not levelled up for hours. Levelled evade and gravity kick and job done.

Message to developers though. Wanna know how much fun it is to gimp your character's powers halfway through the game? None. No fun at all. Idiots. Still and 8 from me I reckon. Plenty of room for an improved sequel.
