ManShep is such a buff dweeb, isn't he? Looks like wotsisname out of Neighbours who was then in Priscilla Queen of the Desert. Has anyone taken on the boy-on-boy romance options yet, by the way?

Nay. The gay love interest sounds like Nolan North. Bioware do seem to slap you in the face with it though. Do love the girl who's the new PA, I'm hoping she's bi.

She'd better be, or else my FemShep will be well put out. That said,

mine can't get up to much until she's buried this dying Drell that she had a regrettable hetero-fling with. Even my awful, amoral FemShep couldn't betray a dying lizard. He's quite sweet, in his way. Still, hope he doesn't drag on too long...

I take it there's a lot more options for graphics tweaking than there was with the demo?

There's very little configuration options. I used Radeon pro to change the af and aa settings.

Went for PC, loving it! Getting minimum 30fps at 1440p, and dont mind using the keyboard. Sooooo good to be back in the world of Mass Effect 3! 3 hours in and its fracking mega!

              HD links just for Borris:

Nice grabs Capcom. Would love to play it at higher res but that's the max my tv can handle. :-)

For PC players who want to be able to access Steam Chat from within the game, you can do this by simply adding Origin as a non-Steam game within Steam. Works a treat, though you do have to put up with having both the Origin overlay and the Steam overlay.

The citidel looks incredible in this. Its pretty amazing.

As for game itself, I absolubtley love everything about it like I thought I would. Bit confused about how the imported character works though. Surely starting the game at level 30 means Im going to have a very easy ride?

It's only a small point, but the fact that you can't holster your weapon when on missions is one hell of an arse backward step.

That said I've only just reached the Citadel and I'm thoroughly enjoying this - bumping into returning characters is like meeting up with old friends.

Have you noticed any scaling in the difficulty to compensate, rmoxon? If it turns out to be a cakewalk I may subject my imported Shep to a Hard playthru from the offset...

I'm not enjoying combat in this as much as I did in number 2. It might be my imagination but enemies seem to rush more at you this time around, which means running away and trying to find cover again can become cumbersome (I don't think the cover system is that easy).

I find this amazing... apparently this is due to "Memory limitations" on the consoles. So depsite Bioware having the animation code etc from ME2, they didn't choose to enable this on PC!!!! I think I have 6GB of free memory whilst running the game, so fair do's on the console, but not enabling on the PC is rather lazy.

Maybe it will be fixed in a patch.

Is there any more to the multiplayer apart from the "horde mode" that was released in the demo?

After putting a few more hours into it I have to say that I wouldn't worry too much. I'm playing it on normal and I have actually died a few times already despite the fact that Im using an import character. I don't know wether the difficulty adjusts to your level or if it's just a lot harder than the second game but using your old character doesn't make it as easy as I first feared. It's clearly made with the import function in mind.
