As I have mention you also start at whatever level you were in ME 2. You get to pick from any class you want and can distribute your points that you already have however you like when you start the game. Incidentally I dont know if it's a bug or what, but I've had to respec my character becuase the cool down for my abilities was strangely long. After I respeced despite picking pretty much the same things my cool downs were more than halved so something must have gone wrong the first time around.

F**K!!!
I changed my xbox after mass effect 2 and when I moved my saved filed it would only allow me to move the mass effect 2 importer and not the mass effect 2 save. Therefore when I booted mass effect 3 up and tried it get my MS2 character nothing appears. All my choices and stats gone!
Anyone know of any way to regain these? am I over looking something? When I play mass effect 2 I can't import from 1 either! even though I have the ME1 importer on my hard drive.

So far I'm really enjoying this. Pretty much everything that I had expected and hoped it would be although I'm only about four hours in so far. Love the music, much more like the soundtrack from the first game.
Bought the DLC and started it by accident the first time I hit the galaxy map, seems like a good mission so far and the squad member should be really interesting. Doesn't seem to be essential to the main plot but definately required if you are a fan of the story.
Also tried multiplayer, which as we know from the demo, is all kinds of brilliant.

Shame as I kept everyone alive, destroyed the big end boss, told the man to go f**k himself, kept the geth colony, did tali. Now none of that matters
