Must agree with what Silvergun has said in regards to the possibility of blue items being better than legendaries. I have a piece of blue armor which gives me almost 100 int, which more than puts to shame any yellow piece I've come across over the entire game and I can't realistically see a legendary taking up that slot, even if I find one.
How about something with 860+ int and a ton of other skill-specific modifying stats? The game has been out too soon for anyone to have found roughly the best gear. Even those pro players clearing Inferno aren't killing the champion/elite mobs before going for boss kills, absolutely killing their chances of finding anything decent.

It's too bad we can't play together because we're roughly at the same stage.

Also, the occasional stutter seems to happen as the game is loading sounds. I've added -loadallsounds after the target suffix in my D3 shortcut which forces them all into RAM so I don't get this issue, it only works for a couple of hours or so however before I have to reboot my game.

Playing in full screen windowed also helps a lot with general performance.

seen a few sites reporting that i am cautious who i would add to friends list anyway

It's not regarding friend lists. If you join any random game, regardless of whether or not they're on your friend list you run the risk of being hacked.

And a perma-ban from the AH if you're hacked more than once? **** me, Blizzard are all about the inconsiderate with D3 aren't they? Think I need to readdress my respect for them (and my review score).

I reached around level 30 on the weekend, died a few times and then I realised how underpowered my level 8-14 armor was! I've since bought level 25-30 yellows for every slot (about 3k a piece) with plenty of vitality and its totally different.

Moral of the story: Don't use anything for more than 10 levels early on, sell your low level uniques and replace with equipment for your level.

If anyone is worried about the potential for character hacking, you can buy a Battle.net authenticator device for about 7 quid or download a free one from itunes or google play. The good thing about these is that only the holder of the authenticator can access your account as they generate random codes for you to enter.

erghh this is annoying....the game is good fun but every time i play it i seem to get some sort of issue and its really testing my patience i really really hope they release a update to play the game offline then i can actually enjoy it fully

quick question for people playing the witch doctor is there anyway to make the plague dogs better ? i summon then but they seem to last no time at all

I've only used them a bit during early game and they seem to last ages with me. You could wait for the Leeching Beasts rune at lvl54 where they get healed by 50% of the damage they do, then half of that is passed to you. The Zombie Handler rune gives them +20% HP too. You really want to aim for exploding them in combat anyway.

Flash Fire / Desperate Grasp / Honoured Guest / Siphon / Lob Blob Bomb / Jungle Drums are what I'm currently using. Just started Nightmare and things are dying faster than they did on Normal.

These are a requirement if you want to use the RMAH.

So I went ahead and tried out the Auction House, bid on some neat gloves not super overpowered but better than mine and useable so I put 10,000 down and won them for 5,000, I then found a massive damage one-handed wand, exactly the kind of attributes I was looking for and bought it outright for 12,000.

My DPS jumped up loads and is now 1,200+

I'm currently hurtling through Act III now, and although on my first playthrough I fully explored every map and dungeon midway through Nightmare I found its better to just run through as fast as possible because you'll level up ok and you'll find better items faster as you get through the game anyway.

Still enjoying it and still finding it very more-ish too often

Someone should make a dedicated thread for gamertags for this.

Unfortunately in my experience, that works both ways

Anyone have any good Wizard build suggestions btw?

Building the best character in Diablo 3, whether you picked Barbarian, Demon Hunter, Monk or Witch Doctor, can be tough. There are a dizzying number of options, but here are a few of our personal favorites, with full skill builds, playstyle explanations and stat recommendations for each.

Well I didn't heed Datadave's advice and bought this yesterday.

What's the best way to start playing as a total beginner to the series?
By myself? Co op? Dothe difficulty settings only open up after completing it once?

Play by yourself to absorb the story. Difficulties unlock, yes.
