The fact is WiiU can barely produce good ports of games running on 7 year old hardware....tech moving on doesnt even come into the equation. Its not progression its still playing catch up.
The WiiU uses yet another revision of the gamecube processor.

The fact that the WiiU ports more or less run as well as the 360 versions of the same games despite being very rushed shows that the hardware is up to scratch
