How is enjoying the console snobbish?

In what way are the people enjoying the console "disillusioned"?

I'm starting to get confused at the idea of a "First Play" thread. Surely it should be about talking about what we like, and don't like, about the console in terms of playing it and what it does.

The discussion about shoddy ports and the like should really be in its own thread in General Gaming.

At no point has anybody said "we're better than you". It's just getting a little grinding in terms of the conversation seems to be going round in circles. I guarantee the same thing will happen with the next PlayStation & Xbox.

But ive not been unwarranted negative, ive got concerns its over-priced and there's only a few games i'd like to play on it, i've said i may purchase one ehen i get more settled and games like animal crossing and monster hunter come along. Plus the main point is we all have opinions, i may not agree with some/most/all of them, but still respect you have your opinion, as said if we dont then we have a crazy forum where only special people are allowed to comment, so snobbery and elitism, something i thought gaming broke down.

Well despite you're predictable condescending nature I respect that you don't want to buy one. Personally I feel you're wrong and it is in no way over priced, but then people always will have vastly different opinions on what is over priced and what isn't.

However many of your other comments simply don't appear valid to me, as I don't feel that you have spent enough time with the machine to judge. A game on Mario Chase will not sell a WiiU to anyone... In fact it took me a few hours of playing nintendoland till I realised just what a good game it is, but alone it would still not sell me the system.

As a whole however, the system is brilliant. It's simply a Joy to use.

The is the last time i will state this, i have NOTHING against the WiiU and like the look of games such as ZombieU, i already stated that if a bigger release game had been made i would probably have shelled out despite my reservations. And i WILL be buying one when the price becomes more reasonable in my opinion. I just expected more capability for the money it costs.

Sigh, can we drop it now before people start crying?

Just played 30 minutes of CoD. "Online" but only me versus 11 bots. Proper good fun. Switched between TV and GamePad which was amazing!!

Also tried out the Pro Controller and its lovely!

I like MP CoD but not against annoying "allIplayisCoD" so using the bots is a decent compromise.

I like that I'll be able to team up with my Bro and we can take on 10 bots like some badass action movie duo.

I loved doing that with my bro on Perfect Dark on the 64 back in the day. Still really tempted to get this...gah.

Naturally, I would still see what happens when i cockslap things.

There are bots? I thought they'd been abolished, along with level design and being able to carry more than 2 guns. Is this just in the Wii U version? Were there bots in the other Wii CoD games?

the disillusion comes from people saying you cant comment cause you don't own one, i might not own one but im allowed an opinion, im not even saying my opinion is right, but the say your not allowed for whatever reason seem daft on a forum, where views are meant to be shared, discussed and talked about.

Its sweet. Go into MP and you can lock the room down privately and turn on up to 11 bots. I'm guessing that number goes down based on the number of human opponents?

Youndont do any of the levelling up stuff like Combat Training in Blops1 and everything seems to be unlocked but it's bloody good fun!!

Tru dat. I thought it was more in terms of disillusion that those that have bought one were trying to convince themselves it was worth it.

Generally you need to play something or not to know your opinion of it,

And well this is suppose to be a thread about people's opinions on what the console is like to use.

If you look at other first play threads on this site you don't very often see comments like "This game has outdated graphics and I think it's over priced". Generally if people want to make comments like that they do it in the headlines thread.

Nah. There were only 601 peeps playing earlier. I'll stick with friends and bots for now. Still need to do "split screen" with TV and GamePad.

**** this thread turned to bull**** rather quickly.

Anyway, in an attempt to at least be relevant to the topic title, the scanning in Zombi-U is pretty well done. I can happily imagine a new Metroid Prime title utilizing the gamepad in a similar way which would be pretty awesome.

Yeah, I never liked the scanning in metroid but the gamepad might make it more interesting.
