I'd hardly class Heavy Rain as a game. More like an interactive drama. I'm not into that. I need hi-octane, by-the-bollocks, gameplay.

Yeah Hard Rain isn't much of a game.

I wuold class it as Dragons Lair TNG myself ... You can actually get a fair impression of the game by watching someone else play it, and that was pretty boring as it is.

That and the fact that when you deliver a launch title as quality as mario 64, you can take certain liberties.

But lets not forget all 3 consoles were truly next gen at that time, there were differences in capabilities but all were a large step up from the 16 bit era. They didn't release a dressed up snes at ?300 now did they, or more like ?399 if going by mid nineties prices.

Short of someone releasing a full working holodeck that isn't going to happen ever again though .. Saying a console is overpriced because you don't think the tech has moved on enough is just plain silly. You do realise the next gen machines are not going to be that much better don't you? No PS4 or NextBox for you then.

Coo, you got stung! I only paid ?64.99 for Turok.

?64.99 for ISS64 was worth every penny too!! No football game since has been enjoyed as much MP between me and my Dad. Was proper good.

Then you had the likes of God of War, Resistance 3, Uncharted II, Demon Souls

Its a game and a very good one that at that. And seeding as their various plot twist and outcomes totally depend on a players actions , its a game you need to play for your self.

Demon Souls maybe, but the rest...

Demon Souls and Ridge 7. That's all I can honestly think of that I'm missing out on.

I bought The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask for 69.99 plus the expansion pak for 29.99 back in the day, easily the best 100 quid in gaming.

                          Who's assuming now?

The fact is WiiU can barely produce good ports of games running on 7 year old hardware....tech moving on doesnt even come into the equation. Its not progression its still playing catch up.

The WiiU uses yet another revision of the gamecube processor.

You can only judge new consoles on whats currently available...tech wise. 7 years down the line you have a right to expect more for a premium price.

No one could complain about New Super mario Bros being stale and then say Ridge Racer 7 was a great launch game. It was the exact same game as ridge Racer 6, which was just like Ridge racers 2, which was just like Ridge Racers.

Thats complee rubbish. The WiiU ports of games are good, if not exceptional. Some of them have a few glitches but that's becuase they are rushed striGht ports. They are better than many ports consoles get at launch, Quake 4 on the 360 was shocking for example.

The fact that the WiiU ports more or less run as well as the 360 versions of the same games despite being very rushed shows that the hardware is up to scratch

I haven't played one and wasn't really interested in one if I'm being honest but after seeing it in the flesh at Fuse's pad I now actually interested in getting one
