I think it cycles through random phrases.

Maybe in Europe. In the UK, Mario is a large piece of gloss paper folded into quarters to make it the size of a normal manual. Once opened out one side is world map and the other is controls.

You can deffo choose your own one. I was in it earlier, then cancelled out. Your one has your Game over man drawing.
        Kept you waiting, huh?

Ah, maybe its MiiVerse post then because I posted that in the MiiVerse community for ZombiU.

Oh right the pause in between selecting it where the crap music and white screen, I must be imagining things. If you genuinely believe that music is charming and a white screen with Wii U in the bottom corner for 10 seconds in between options is "charming" then fair enough but better than the PS3 or 360 UI... It may have adverts but at least the 360 dash is fast and easy XMB being the same. It's about 3 patches away from functional let alone charming tvii or whatever it's called doesn't even work yet its a bloody hack rush job and you know it, the games are great though, well Zombi U and Mario are (only ones I have played)

This also sums it up pretty well for me so far a tasty snack consumed between Playstations. If it gets a third of the standard of games that the DC got though its worth an investment

The 360 front end is incredibly slow. When I try and accesses my games list it takes about 2 minutes for them to pop up. Xbox live is also notoriously slow and slows down the machine booting up.

no way is the WiiU front end any less functional than the 360 one.

To be honest I have not used XBL for a long time but is was ok last time I used it has it really gone that far downhill?

Yeah... it's gotten slower with the last 3 iterations or so, all due to pulling more and more stuff from online. You boot up with no net connection and it's super fast.
Lie with passion and be forever damned...

It's the same here. But I consider each of those quarters a page (as they are the same size as one, and equal amount of info) and therefore it has 16 pages.

Yeah I agree with this. PS3 is the only one that's faster, but to me the WiiU one is more functional with menus more logically structured. PS3 is a mess of different options seemingly doing the same thing. Not to mention that PS3 doesn't really have multi-tasking. You can view the XMB, but outside of trophies (which take ages to load) you can't really do anything in there while in a game. And the less said about the 360 dash, the better. As for the store of Wii U, I find it pretty great. Everything is nicely laid out on the front page which acts as a hub for all the different categories. If it were slightly faster, the Wii U would have been clearly superior to the other two.

Wii U is also a bit of a DC to me but the difference is that it absolutely doesn't eclipse the PS360 in terms of performance. I would've bought it if it did, but I don't settle with inferior versions of Tekken and ME3. I think Bayonetta 2 would be a nice reason to buy it, perhaps its there once the price of this machine drops.

The playstation store is a shambles. The xmb is excellent though. There's no duplication of anything as far as i know. And everything is pretty much where I expect to find it.

Hang on. 4 quarters x 2 sides is 8. Or am I missing something?

I agree if it were faster it would be a very good dash but superior not really it has a hell of a lot less to navigate through with there being no media playback or trophy/gamerscore support so it should be easier to navigate. Of course the store is great there is bugger all on it to buy that's why it can be navigated in minutes in a year when there is more will be the real judge of how easy it is to navigate. I'm starting to think either I have a defective Wii-U or there are a hell of a lot of ros? tinted glasses wearing going on, I counted 34 seconds to change from store to it loading and that's on a fibre connection
