and just as a cut scene kicked in I was swiped by a Zombie and died. The cut scene carried on and then I'm back at the safehouse with a new character.

I hot footed it to where I died and my old character isn't there.

Weapons, health items, planks. All gone.

    I. Am. Sad.
I wouldn't worry you will find soem of my survivors out there, with a fair amount of equipment ... As Big Edd says its all part of the fun .. I don't find it frustrating, which is a good thing.

Its ?331.97 for a basic with Mario and Zombie at asda, once you get past the (new PSN store) wading through soup loading menus and get to the games themselves they are rather good

It says I have to retrieve the item from the previous survivor, but one door's locked and the other says it's opened, but won't let me open it. Looking on gamefaqs it seems I will have to start again from scratch, and although I'm finding the game pretty easy now, exploding zombies aside, I really don't fancy doing it all again. So I recommend people shoot the exploding zombie in the kitchen of the nursery, and don't assume it's normal like I did...

I've been back through the nursery and you can get through it all again. You don't have to restart the game. Unless you've got a bugged saved game file or somthing?

Looking on gamefaqs it actually sounds like the people who are stuck there are actually just going the wrong way though. So probably you are too.

That's the thing. It hasn't frustrated me (except at my own cack-handedness) it has actually spurred me on to get better and kick more zombie ass?

Well, the item's in the kitchen just the other side of a locked door, but there's a door that says it's been opened when I retrace my steps, but it won't let me open it, or even try to, it's the well lit door opposite a keypad door on the lowest floor, that you end up on after collecting the item. I'm sure that's the way, I got into the kitchen easily enough the first time...

I read the walk through's on GF by the way, not the forums.

Normally dying's no big deal at least, all you really need is a cricket bat.

Potentially my issue could be patched hopefully, but I'd have to overwrite my old save to start again, or wait for a patch that might never come.

Been playing this most of the weekend. Wow, definitely a great game. The IGN review is laughable.

Starting to wonder if playing this game is unhealthy. Yesterday I was up on some scaffolding with a couple of zombies beneath me. Decided to leave them be and continue with my mission. A few moments later one of them attacked me from behind after having climbed up some boxes I didn't notice. I find it hard to put into words just how freaked out I got. My entire chest was pulsing for several minutes afterwards. Similar things happen regularly in the game. It's incredibly tense. Yet incredibly fun.

Aye, the thing that ****s me up is the noise they make.

Great to hear everyone enjoying this so much! It sounds like it is a game that will appeal for the old school BioHazard fans. I think the IGN review sounded like the reviewer kinda missed the point, and was looking for more of an FPS/Left for dead/Modern Biohazard experience.

I'll be picking up Zombie U on the basis of this thread.

ZombiU is awesome I reckon. Though not as scary as I first thought, or as difficult.

I don't even use guns anymore. Unless it's a long-range enemy in need of taking out, the bat is the only weapon one needs.

I'd describe it as a cut-down Dark Souls. If it wasn't for the GamePad elements, it'd be pretty lame TBH, although I've been thinking that I'd maybe prefer it if it was a standard menu-driven title.

I do enjoy finding you lot wandering around and smashing your heads in before stealing your goods. I'll definitely play through it again on Survivor Mode once I've gone through it the first time too.
                            Kept you waiting, huh?

I'm right at the very end of the game. I'm tooled up to the teeth now too. However, I died whilst escaping, and now the shortcut system is closed, so I've got to walk all the way to Buckingham Palace

I think I can take on Survivor Mode. I've only gone through about 15 people so far in Normal Mode. It's actually quite easy once you have got the CCTV working, so you can check out where to go for ammo and weapons.

If you died while escaping the palace then you don't

have to go back there. You have to go to the Tower of London, it's about a two minute walk from the safe house, then the game ends.
