Tomb Raider PS3 review

I think its hard not to like this. It may not be doing anything original in the genre but its paced well, looks fantastic and the combat is sharp and tight. If anything it's a little sparse on puzzles but I'm finding with the slow Metroid unlock of equipment it's the Island which is the main puzzle.

If there are any negatives they're few and minor. This is probably the best action/adventure I've played in a long while. Gonna get a solid 9/10 from me. It's a pity MP is a bit weak but then when the campaign is so solid and the main event even that doesn't matter.

Oh and I'm 60% through but currently doing challenges etc... Before the last few hours.

Just completed this with 76% done. Definitely the most fun I've had in a game in a long time. The visuals are amazing on PC, sound, music, everything is top notch. This is a very high quality product.

So many positive impressions. Really need to get this sharpish to see why it sounds like an Uncharted beater of a game, and why its a great adventure title.

Given the **** tomb raiders all got sequels you'd hope a good one would but who knows!?

Finished now, truly great game with only the lightest of niggles. Managed to finish itself without going stupid or overlong, in some ways it has areas to improve on for a sequel but in others it shows Uncharted the direction it needs to go in next gen, a sequel would be well worth getting excited over. Better than much of Uncharteds entries even if it never hits the same heights and without doubt current GOTY.

Just finished main adventure with 67% of stuff found, absolutely loved it, brilliant production, great gameplay, sounds graphics everything (PS3)

The voice of Lara is doen by British Babe Camilla Luddington who is currently starring in Grey's Anatomy. She is hot!

Does the %age completion on the save file refer solely to Story progress or does it take in to account the collection of items/animals hunted etc?

The % is the amount items you have found, not the story. Once you complete the game you can go back into the game to search for the remaining items with all your weapons etc. still intact

This is pretty great, I beat it yesterday. What caught my attention is that the quality is consistent throughout. Even liked the final phases. There are some issues, mainly weapon related. Besides the Machinegun and Bow I saw no use for any other. The pistol has a silencer upgrade but I never saw any use for it for example, the bow does the same thing and does it better.

My earlier point of criticism, the QTE, isn't that bad when you realize its always the same button throughout the whole game.

As for a next game, I hope for a true island and exploration as is evident in Far Cry 3. And let it be the hub for actual tombs, big dungeons which should be the meat of the game.

Yeah I wanted it to be longer, I did it in 3 sittings with all tombs raided & 76% complete. It's probably the shortest Tomb Raider of them all.

14 hours on my play through, devil may cry was 13, skyrim, 138 lol.
