Can someone with the PC version let me know if Infinite has mouse acceleration that can't be turned off like the first Bioshock?

For some reason this made me want to play Bioshock 1. I loaded it up on my Retina MacBook Pro. It looks amazing considering its age at 2880x1800
I think the only reason this game looks good is art direction (like Bioshock). Technically it's not anything special, but I'll take art direction over technicality any day personally. And in semi-related news, I ordered the hardcover art book which shipped to me a couple days agoApparently it was meant to be out on April the 9th but Book Depository had stock in ready to ship so I went for it. Definitely an art book not to miss (hopefully)!

Story is not compelling and combat is only average. I am half way through now and i will be selling / trading this before the weekend is out. I

Same as the above. This is probably going to be the most over-rated game of the year, just like the original BioShock was when it was released. Now granted, I'm not long into the game, but the combat feels pretty mediocre.
Also, the death mechanic is downright retarded and made me change the difficulty to medium from hard after being respawned in the middle of enemies and a machine gun repeated times.Last edited by Guts; 29-03-2013, 09:13.

Great story, too heavy on FPS (I hate FPS but played it as I love story driven games) ill only do it once as its starting to grate and become a bit of a grind. Actually because I'm crap at FPS (I am I don't play any) I'm finding a certain fight daft hard and I'm on easy
Done. Story, Great, Presentation, Fantastic. Combat, Pain in the arse that gets in the way of the story. An 8 for me a near 9 but I played it for the story and there are a couple of unwelcome difficulty spikes in there for people that are not good at FPS (I.E. Me) worth the money and a great experience wouldn't do it again though for a fair old whileLast edited by ETC; 29-03-2013, 14:10.

There definitely are difficulty spikes. I played on hard, and those fights with
Lady Comstock's ghost were ridiculous at times, literally every one of them I ran out of ammo and died multiple times. It took me 4x to get past the end part where you have to defend the ship against the vox populi too. And considering that had no checkpoints and took 10-15 minutes, that was VERY frustrating.
It also doesn't really feel like there's as much in terms of background development,
there's very few characters you meet in the story, unlike Bioshock where there were quite a few with the Doctor and Cohen etc. I just felt that-that made the world a lot more believable and grounded in Bioshock than it does in Infinite, as even characters like Comstock and Fink you barely ever see.

I'm enjoying this massively. All the hoo-har about Elizabeth is true and she's a great help during some firefights.
My only wish is with the controls. Having to click R3 to bring up iron sights feels a bit of a gaff when you're trying to avoid bullets from myriad directions.
Still, the presentation is top notch. It's an utterly stunning game. Bright, colourful and full of atmosphere.
Wonderful stuff.
