Just completed it,thoroughly enjoyed it I know we can nit pick about the AI but for me it was a great experience in a world of chaos and devastation

I enjoy this a lot and I absolutely, utterly hated Uncharted 3. In fact, I dislike that whole franchise. The atmosphere, music and VA is strong. I do have problems with the difficulty and AI, its way too easy and inconsistent. I kill Clicker after clicker. As long as you have a brick, a pipe and a shiv you're good to go. I just crawl too, and for clickers you can keep the lights on as well... they are weaksauce except for the fact a grab is a game over if you don't have the upgrade yet (but you have to play quite bad or reckless to be grabbed by them).

Some parts are arenas you need to clear to advance, but others can be done completely stealthy. The stealth however doesn't feel proper. Its just that they sometimes ignore you, and at other times the AI triggers while you were well hidden. Its not foulproof like the stealth in Arkham where I was never spotted when properly hidden. Enemies would always act accordingly when throwing a lure batarang.

NPC do ruin the experience, they are in the open but the AI ignores them. Which is good from a gameplay standpoint, but it looks retarded.

The stealth in games like Arkham Assylum is actually less realistic, and doesn't feel as natural as this. Those games are very predetermined and gamey, here it feels organic.

I absolutely love this. Having my save now fixed, I had to replay about 3 hours, but now 61% into the game and loved every minute of it.

I am playing with headphones on in a darkened room (even in the daytime!) and I think the headphones are adding to the experience in that I feel like I am this lonely world - totally awesome. Before this Tomb Raider was my fav of the year, but this this game takes it to a another level for me. The attention to detail in the game is superb. I see some comments about AI, but for me it's about getting engrossed in the journey, driven by a strong story with believable characters.

Top notch stuff. And, if you haven't played it yet, for goodness sake, get out of this forum and go get a copy.

I must say the multiplayer is fantastic. I tried MP it for a few hours straight and I really like how it plays. It feels weighty and the graphics are still very well done. You'll need teamwork and creating items on the fly from parts you scavenge is pretty damned awesome. I created a molotov, and there was this guy ducking in the corner... he screamed in agony. On another occasion I found a 2x4 and whacked someones skull in. The executions (same premise as GoW) are very brutal and thus satisfiying as well. They take more time, but you'll get more points.

I beat a soldier to death with a pipe inches from his mate who did not notice. The stealth in this is a joke!! Good for me though as I usually struggle with sneaky stuff,

I've never had anything like that happen.

The A.I. Is very aggressive with me. One little noise and I'm instantly surrounded by infected. The non infected aren't quite so smart. But then I have always said people are dumb. So I still think its realistic.

Playing on medium and keep seing Ella and "not quite sure who you are lady" bump into clickers with no apparent consequence? I'm glad of this though these sections would be a real bind if you had to go rescue them every five minutes, I don't like box puzzles, especially ones at such odds with the game world one minute I'm sneaking about the next I'm grinding a desk across a floor to climb up ontop of a overturned bus that was no higher than one of the boost up points, I thought clickers only reacted to noise shouldn't I now have every ****ing clicker in the city after me now?

It's very linear so far, and I dident realise there would be quite so much stealth (not a big fan)

I am really enjoying bits of it though despite its little faults, as of now it doesn't feel like a ten maybe it would if I didn't go in to this expecting some sort of gaming second coming, thanks Edge magazine yer ruin everything.

I find you don't have to use stealth. I normally kill 2 or 3 with stealth then headshot the rest.

Finally got round to playing this late last night. I have to say Jesus Christ what a game, it really is visually stunning. The detail is just amazing, when you first take control I wasn't to sure if it was still a cut scene. I must have spent about 10-15 mins just looking round the house. Its remarkable that this is what can be done on what really is old hardware now. incredible to think just what will be possible in a few years time once developers get used to the PS4.

Like I say im only very early in but boy what a start. The script is just brilliantly done, very much, how shall I put it, grown up story telling. Cant wait to spend some more time later.

I must be at a point where I don;t have too long left in the game now and I'm finally pleased to say the game has improved a lot. It finally stopped feeling like it was holding my hand all the time and there's been some good sections where I've been able to take my own approach, story picked up too. Interested to see how the climax plays out, its proving to be better than I'd feared, a really good experience (but those 10's are still smoking something to put this anywhere near this gens best)

Its very Metal Gear Solid : Uncharted Edition (with less freedom to roam). Which isn't necessarily an awful thing but it has alot of hand holding at the beginning and then it seems very rinse and repeat but in different areas.

Its a very nice looking game, and the combat with different weapons / bricks, bottles and pipes etc is nice. Just a few hours in it doesnt seem to be the standout blockbuster the reviews have been making out.
I thought that. I was in no doubt it's a 10 by the end of it. I think I like it better than Resi 4. I'm still thinking about the characters now.

Finished, what a great game which I felt was at best for me during the quiet moments, scavenging around. But i'am with crazytaxinext this is not a 10 game as to much of the melee/gun and sneaking systems are to janky, much like high praise uncharted 3 got when it was released.

                              I like they left the

ending open for chance to revisit the world during the next gen perhaps with the same characters, hopefully just to play Ellie this time round as 20's something adult maybe mix in some open world survival bits for hunting deer or the like. I did make myself laugh during the ellie moments the amount of punks I violently stabbed to death once my sneaking failed. And I did like the nod's towards the amount of convenient pallet swimming sections in talk between Ellie and Joel.

Also what did people do with the doctors, I put my gun away and walked towards him which got no reaction.. was just hoping to knock him out but pressing melee got Joel stabbing him in the neck.. which after the murder of a lot of firefly blokes and that women calling me a monster i finished the job on the other 2 doc's to... with a flamethrower
