They could easily just carry on from where the game ended.

Finished this, also played some MP... The MP seems decent enough, but you need to play with a proper team and headsets (or do I just get unlucky/suck?) Regardless, it's comfortably the greatest game of the generation. Effortlessly.
Graphically I'm just not sure how the PS3 actually does it, Naughty Dog are simply wizards, I can't wait to see what they can do with the PS4. Story was expertly written and acted (
Nolan North as David was awesome!
). I also liked the gameplay, suitably focussed, but nuanced enough and clever enough to provide variety and keep the game interesting.
What a game. After the crap that was Tomb Raider and Bioshock, I was actually pretty worried about this game, but absolutely no need to whatsoever. Incredible. 10/10
Also, a good watch AFTER YOU'VE BEATEN THE GAME ONLY!!

Just finished this. One of the best games I have played. Movie like story and the end was really nicely done too, allows you to think about decisions made by the characters. Really enjoyed the game play looking forward to Multi player and playing through on Survivor. Will look fwd to watching the below video.

Cheers for the Survivor+ tip Jimtendo not quite sure why you cannot play New Game plus on a higher difficulty to begin with. (I suppose they wanted it to be even more challenging)

Steps:
1. As long as you've completed the game, select 'continue new game +' and select whatever difficulty.
2. Play through prologue and get to the point where you control Joel. You'll notice that when you go to change difficulty, you can't as it's locked.
3. Save and quit to title screen.
4. Now select 'chapters' and then 'hometown' an select difficulty 'Survivor'
5. Play through again to get to Joel and check in the options menu... et voila, it's now set on Survivor. And more importantly Survivor + as you now have all the upgrades to Joel (apart from listen mode which is disabled) and all your weapon upgrades.
There you have it. You have to play through the prologue again, but at least you can play Survivor + off the bat.

Looking forward to playing this after all the praise here...

@rmoxon: Yes that is a valid point but has nothing to do with what I said really. Halo 4 is an example of skilled developers making the most of their platform. If you look at games like MGS4 there's no way they could be on 360 as they are.
I didn't mean to imply that the 360 is vastly inferior graphically, just that I think nearly all PS3 exclusives I've played have looked stunning.
I suppose the same is true of the 360 though - exclusives will look better as they're only developing for one platform. Or something like that.

Yeah Speedy, I get where your coming from. PS3 exclusives have generally looked another level compared to everything else!
@rmoxon Halo 4 is indeed a great looking game, but it's not up there with the Uncharted's/Last of Us hell even Resistance 3 looked better - but its as good as the 360 is capable of I expect.

I't may be your opinion moxy but in My eyes its wrong, Naughty dogs stuff really dose shine on the ps3, I can't really think of anything that has wowed me as much as this game has on the Xbox, Halo 4 included. Texture detail and lighting is far above halo four.
Take uncharted 3 the chateau level was amazing now go over to you tube and do a direct comparison between the jungle level on halo 4 to the forest chateau level in uncharted 3, you will see the difference in texture and lighting there's no contest, it's there in black and white. Take The lighting for a start, halo four uses blocks of sunshine breaking through the trees where as uncharteds lighting shows sunshine breaking through the canopy in hundreds of places it's astounding.
I could go on about the texture and detail that naughty dog puts into its games but I think It's already lost on you.

I think Halo 4 is a better looking game than Uncharted 3, and for me that's actually down to the hardware. There's somthing very gamey about even the best looking environments on the PS3, it's probably down to the playstation hardwares eternal struggle with jaggies( though admitedly some 360 games have them too). Halo 4's environments are almost photorealistic, and a lot more immersive than in somthing like uncharted 3 in my opinion.Last edited by rmoxon; 01-07-2013, 20:27.

Uncharted wins hands down but never forget...
"I think it really helps. It's not even about sales. It's about what we can push on the platform and how far we can take it. I'm sure you'll hear this from every other Sony developer but you know, I can't tell you how much we've been able to optimise Cell and you know, the amount of content we can put on Blu-ray."
