For the record, I've never played the online and never will, so I don't care if it's good or not!
So whats the difference?, im pissed that this game has stupid basic game flaws that a dev of NG talents shouldnt be letting happen

Playing NG+ and am checking up on plot points and random things as I go...a really nice touch I discovered...
late in the game where Elly gives Sam the robot toy...in the toyshop where he first finds it and is told to ditch it I decided to follow Elly to check she really picks it up. Not only does she pick it up but she won't do it unless you are looking away and just twiddled her thumbs looking shifty til she thinks you are out of view!

Just got this yesterday after it being sold out a few places in Shepards Bush London where I was, finally found a copy. Only played about 2hrs but atmosphere is brilliant Defintely a more vulnerable main character than Drake ever was. Getting the impressions conserving ammo is key. For saying this is a PS3 game some of the graphical touches are amazing dreads to think how good Naughty Dog will make a PS4 game look, some of the environments here are truly beautiful.

after a slow start I've really settled into this now, the last few sessions on this have been brilliant! some real fantastic characterization and some fantastic levels and scenery, I'm loving the scavenging and exploration. The creative way you can take down each enemy situation is great fun and has a lot more to it than most third person shooters,
story wise theirs some real twists and turns too (its an emotional roller-coaster) I don't think I've connected with or cared about two main characters in a game like this for ages. I think being a a parent really helps you identify just how broken and vulnerable Joels character .

I just got through
Bill's town section, and was amazed by the emotional power of the sequence where you discover his partner/boyfriend having hung himself. Just amazing. And then the later comic relief in the case of Ellie ogling the gay porn mag she's stolent from him
. It's true that the shine comes off a bit in the stealth sections due to AI clodhoppers occasionally blundering into the enemy but still, this is a superb game.

Really makes you think, and very kind re-start points, so it's not a chore to try different techniques.
Graphically it just gets better and better too. The story is classic "Walking Dead" but highly entertaining none the less.
Brilliant game.
I love this too. Trying different ways to do things after you die. I imagine too when I replay it on Survivor mode after normal I will approach situations very differently. Seems so many different ways to tackle each area.

I definitely would like to play more Last of Us on PS4. As much as I've loved playing as Joel
.......and Ellie - spoiler?
maybe they should pick up a new story. As a Firefly perhaps and approach it from a different angle. That might be what they have in mind for the forthcoming single player DLC though. Joel & Ellie could still make an appearance or return to them for Last of Us 3.

Despite my issues with the game I'd happily see a sequel, the room for remedying this games rough spots is perfectly capable on this gens hardware so on PS4 they should be able to expand on it a lot. I want to see new characters, a story that borrows less from common 'zombie' lore and more varied gameplay, ideally from having more than 3 common enemy types and constant box hiding. They made a good game but a much, much better game hides within.

How could it possibly be improved? ;-)
