From the actual review it's the first one I've read where they sound like they actually understand the game.

New Iwata Aks is a good one, the whole group talk about how the intricacies of the game system came together: http://iwataasks.nintendo.com/interv...nderful101/1/5

..So I think that a lot of people may end up just saying "I don't get what kind of game it is," even if they had some interest in it. But if you think there might be something fun in it for you, I'd like you to trust your own curiosity, and just jump right into the game. It's a once in a lifetime game, I think. There are a lot of games that I'm glad I played, and I know that this game will be one of them for you.

Famitsu hardly give the most balanced scores.

I'm not thinking about the score, more about what they actually wrote about the game.

I have but I've only had time to do prologue and the 1st episode broken into 10 missions I think, so can't really offer any more opinion than the demo , but will hopefully get a couple if hours in ,this afternoon to give more on it

bought it. loving it. am not very good at the combos, but i think you have to unlock/purchase skill upgrades form the ingame store to even begin thinking about doing stuff in that saurian video - eg there is a quick draw skill which speeds up the drawing of your unite morphs. so as you progress, you can go back to earlier levels with your new abilities and go for higher grade medals.

have to say the game runs super smooth, lovely depth of field effect, and so bright and colourful, and very daft. Love the little comedy touches like the mid air freeze frame while the narrator speaks, and the character can keep his sword held up for long (nice nod to police squad's ludicrous freeze frames!).

am still in early stages but am very impressed.

Went to GAME to buy this today, willing to pay a few extra quid to get it sooner than buying online. They still had the pre-order "coming soon" boxes on display, so I asked the guy at the till and he said the actual stock is coming in next week, but I could buy the digital download coupon. As a result I am now waiting on it to be delivered by Shopto, who I really should've just ordered it with in the first place.

And yet they are more trustable than most sources, the fact 4 people review the game together which is a better system than over here. Sure their 40's are a lot more common than they used to be but they are usually pretty accurate with what games are good & what are not.

But isn't it pretty well known that famitsu scores can and are bought like advertising

It's a rumour that has gone around the net for years but if it was true why isn't every game given a 40?

Looks like this game has some serious combo potential the dmc combo he pulls off is sick.

It does look immense. Saur is one of a kind - seriously talented. You get people that practise games and get good at them over time, but Saur is in an entirely different class, it's talent. Met the guy once (he modded my gamecube way back!) - such a lovely dude. Didn't realize he had videos online!

Rayman and this will be my next purchases! Cant wait

Been playing this since i rushed to finish Pikmin as i knew it was due. All i can say is if you plan to get this to play off TV i would not bother. Frustrating does not begin to describe the use of the right thumb stick to draw. i can't fathom why they decided to remove the touchscreen drawing when playing off screen.

I can see there is a good game in here. I can understand the high scores from some reviews as i can see why some people would love it, sadly for me it is just a frustrating experience. Still Rayman is due Friday.
