    Get fairies in bottles, capcom_suicide.

    I played Link to the Past again just before this came out and it was quite easy too, probably easier than Link Between Worlds.

    Thing is, most of us here are probably Zelda/gaming veterans who have played these games for like 20+ years. When I played LttP as a kid, I hadn't really played a game like it before and therefore it was a totally new experience and felt way hard back then. It'll be the same for Little Timmy 8-years-old who plays this now and Nintendo always makes their games so that everyone can play them, but there are extras that require more skill to achieve (Cuckoo dodging game etc.) . I do think they should have "Hero Mode" right from the start for those who want a bit more challenge from their Zeldas though.

      if you die you continue from your house or from the dungeon start its your choice, the dungeons open teleporters next to the entrance so if you have to start again you can just hop on the teleporter and it usually only takes a minute or two to get back to the boss if you fail.

        I finished the first dungeon "on the other side" today. You guys make me feel very bad calling this so simple... I had to use a guide to work out the puzzles and the boss killed me first time around... It felt great to beat the level! I find the 3d works amazingly too, and no eye strain on the new model 3ds.

        i have milk in my bottle, but a fary provides an extra life doesn't it? I'll find a cave then....

          This is still only the second Zelda ive finished to my shame. Loved the puzzles and everything seemed to fit together perfectly. Found it much more logical than say ocarina of majuras for example.

            I've thought about why I personally found this game easy and my conclusion was simply experience. People who have played a few other zeldas before will already know which queues and clues to look for, they'll spot which wall needs to be bombed or which switch needs to be flipped sooner (also: most of the bossfights were copied/update versions from a link to the past).
            However, I feel that this game was made as an introduction for new fans to a franchise that's older than a whole bunch of gamers nowadays. This would explain the rehashing of the world and so many ideas Zelda veterans take for granted: they're the same because we tried and loved them back in the day.
            That's what I think at least ^^;

            @capcom_suicide: milk will restore a few hearts twice, but a fairy will restore a few more only once. However, when you die the fairy automatically pops out and resurrects you

              Finished this last night. Lovely game. Wonderful to look at and listen to. Didn't find the dungeons very challenging - and I'd managed to buy all of the equipment by about 2/3rds complete - but they always managed to be fresh, surprising and enjoyable. A bit of a Zelda-lite, I suppose, but I've come to prefer this kind of thing to the bloated 3D epics of OOT/Skyward Sword, and I think this is probably my second fave Zelda after the first LTTP. Looking forward to Majora's Mask 3DS, though.

                I just finished this for the first time. Absolutely brilliant. Pure gameplay and Zelda magic all the way. Everything felt judged just right … never too easy, never too hard … not too big, not too small. It’s been a long time since I finished A Link to the Past but this feels like a worthy sequel … not only that, it’s a beautifully made 3DS game with amazing visuals (and music ), esp in those tall, stacked dungeons.

                Last couple of Zelda games I completed were Links Awakening and Breath of the Wild. Great games but I enjoyed this more that either of those.

                10/10

                  Links Awakening for me, next.

                  Really fond memories of playing this at the time, though. I can’t believe it’ll be coming up ten years old soon.

                  I hope its not the last of the top-down Zelda games. I guess they could treat us to another one in the future, just like we’ve had another 2D Metroid.

                    I would love to play Minish Cap again, just uprezzed on Switch. Maybe Capcom can do their trilogy remake.
