I only got on late on last night to the Bordersdown GP but even though there were only a couple on had good fun with it. Really is the first entry I'm finding myself playing online more than off. Tonight I should finally finish up 100cc, only at about the 850 coin mark but all racers open

Racing in the tournament last night made me rethink my character choice. For online I always go for Toad as with the amount of times you get shot I feel acceleration is more important than top speed (personally), but last night not having more than 6 people in the race made it much more about top speed I think, tonight maybe I'll be a heavy, who knows?

Was thinking this too. I've been going heavies i.e. Bowser, but leading is dangerous. Recovery is poor. So maybe someone from the medium class would be a better option. Mario etc.

I'm really starting to hate this game. After the initial euphoria of it, ive realised it's just too cheap to be enjoyed online. It's less about skill than it is luck of what items you and the others around you get.

After spending time in single player to unlock items, I'm venturing online and just finding myself at the front of the pack throughout the race, then after I get spammed with items and im at the back. Usually right around the end of the course. It was fun at first, but I'm just fed up of it now. This is the first Mario Kart I've played properly since the SNES version, so perhaps they've all been like this, but when people were talking about balance being refined and I saw all the high review scores, I didn't expect this. Shame.
