Nope 1 ascendant shard for doing the actual raid (not including chests). And a white shader which is entirely useless.

I've come to the conclusion that the game code detests my very existence.

I won't mention the full set of raid armour I got on my first raid the rng clearly hates you.

fishbowlhead - here's a couple of tips for your next raid run, they all relate to the final battle:

- If you get teleported, keep moving forwards as you're shooting the oracles, and try to stay close to the other guy shooting oracles. This makes it easier for the relic holder to cleanse both of you. Also, remember to shoot the orcales in the same order in which they appear.

- When all oracles have been destroyed, exit the portal in single file with a 2 second gap between each person exiting. This prevents a bug occuring where everyone trying to exit at the same time will get teleported back into the oracle section.

- After killing the oracles, and exiting the portal, wait for the relic holder to jump onto the middle platform before joining them there. Try not to move while firing at Atheon, as this can cause splash damage to other players in the relic shield bubble.

- Don't use rocket launchers when standing in the relic shield bubble - you'll die instantly.

- If there's a titan on the fireteam, they will usually put a shield bubble behind the relic shield bubble on the middle platform. Jump into this before moving into the relic shield bubble. This will give you a temporary Weapons of Light buff which will make your weapons more powerful for a short time.

- Jump out of the relic shield bubble when the countdown reaches 5 seconds. The relic holder will usually inform everyone when the countdown gets to 5.

- If you don't get teleported, concentrate on destroying the Supplicants on each side of the arena. Don't get too close to them or they will explode and kill you instantly. Stand on one of the columns positioned in the center of each portal plate when shooting at them. If they are close and are about to explode, jump on the spot as high as you can and they will explode underneath you without causing any damage.

Thanks to sm3 for the strikes today. Christmas must of come early as the game actually gave me a purple shotgun, plus enough strange coins to buy plan c. Finally, a legendary weapon then and exotic. Just need an exotic auto rifle if that actually exists.

In addition to the tips above Don't jump out at 5 seconds as the shield stays up for a second or so after the times vengeance runs out use all the time you can to minimise oracal runs. Also hunters should be using golden gun as one golden gun shot will kill an orical in one hit. You don't need to be in the bubble for times vengeance to do double damage, it just protects you from the supplicants and atheons attacks as soon as times vengeance starts the three outside should start hitting Atheon.

If you get teleported into the right gate you will also have a Paterion to deal with. inexperienced relic holders might struggle with him he's always on the left so before shooting oricals get the two oracal killers too lob grenades down there.

Cleared my first end to end of vog last night on normal. Not the smoothest of runs by any means. Did quite well out of the gatekeeper managing a raid machine gun, but the rng was not with me at atheon and I only managed the lolship. Does vex drop from normal mode now? Apparently some one on the team came away with it -_-

Do I have to wait a week before I can run it again for loot?

You can only run the raid once a week for each difficulty setting. If you go through on hard mode without having first completed normal mode, you get double loot drops. The Vex Mythoclast only drops after you defeat Atheon on hard mode.

So is that once per host per week for the raid. I did it with you and it's letting me select it still.

You can play it as many times as you want per week, but you only get the loot drops once per difficulty per week.

Ah ok. Kind of makes things hard again if like me you get jack from loot drops on good runs, let alone 2 hour missions like that. Still, it was fun with a big group like that so ill be up for it next week.

To add to this, if you open the crates on normal they will not contain anything when you open them on hard and the Vex Mythoclast is not a guaranteed drop.

Anyone think the factions are going to be put beyond level 3? I've levelled new monarchy up to 3 but not sure whether to switch to the crucible now to level that up?

I believe you earn the new Commendations after level 3 rep and you need these in addition to Marks to purchase the new Legendary gear.

Just had an exotic bounty pop up today. Which I didnt even know existed in the game. Some explanation on these things or even in game hints would be good bungie?
