Forza horizon 2 xbox one review

I've completed the second bucket list, only one or two were any trouble to be honest.

Think I've completed 32 championships now, done two Horizon Finale's, just ploughing through the championships bit by bit.
Took my 240th different car photo last night, that's the current limit it seems.

Was wondering about Forza 5, late to the party with that one, see there are a Long Beach & Nurburgring separate list of achievements, guess they gave those two tracks away free but the car packs were paid for.

Sure they would have sold so many more Car Pass/VIP things if they included another track with them, otherwise just not good value in my opinion.

I thought I was fairly high level (Lv 253) and was somewhat surprised to see someone at Lv 468!!

I am still working on the assumption that I might get the cars I want as gifts (VIP) or Wheelspin. I did get the Lambo Veneno (or whatever as a gift). I must have received about 70 cars out of the Wheelspin now. The end result of that is that I have about 22 million to spend when the time is right! I did buy the Agera (as I have been using the Bucket event to boost my level on occasions).

I seem to have issue (lack of ability) with some of the Bucket List events. I don't even find the GT40 event particularly easy. I wonder if I will ever get as far as the third Bucket List...

I'm on about level 155 now, I seem unlucky at the Wheelspin, always end up with around 8,000 credits or something. But it's not a problem, have around five million credits kicking their heels etc.

How many championships have you completed Bassman? think I've done around 45. Got all the barn finds etc and all the bits and pieces bar the multiplayer ones and complete 100/168 championships.

Re the bucket list, a number of them don't have checkpoints from what I remember so it you're struggling always worth checking the map once one starts for any major shortcuts across fields etc.

Fantastic game, really prefer it over Forza 5 at the moment. Bring on the DLC.

I have the Barn Finds and maxxed my Perks fairly quickly. I am on my 9th Round of Championships (I think).

I've yet to try any multiplayer stuff.

There are at least some interesting cars in the DLC. It made a change to see the Land Rover Defender in a racing game. The Lamborghini Jalpa was an interesting choice as well. Roll on next month.

My best (for that read more expensive) cars from the Wheelspin would be the Bentley Continental GT Speed, Hummer, Mercedes SL65 Black Series, Audi Sport Quattro, Audi RS5, Bowler, Maserati Gran Turismo, Lexus Lexus LFA, Viper GTS, KTM X-Bow R and Mercedes SLS AMG. I wanted the Escort RS18000 and managed to get that via Wheelspin. Having gone VIP (having bought VIP on F5) at half price the cash bonuses on some of those cars was quite good (over 400K on the LFA). I do seem rather drawn to the 3,300 win... unfortunately.

I only got Forza 5 recently (pre-ordered the Destiny Xbox One pack from Amazon) so I am now just levelling up to make extra money over the Forza Rewards (up to 2.1 million a month on F5 and FH2 now) so that I can buy more cars.

I just like cruising to try out cars in the game. I wonder if the sound on the R32 Skyline has been sorted yet (another Wheelspin car). It had no engine noise at all!

I try to get at least one level on this and F5 every day. F5 is in the region of Lv 170 now I think.

Yep. In game press start to pause the game and the second or third tab along maybe called social? When you find join club search for Bordersdown or BDF is its abbreviation.

Think the new Storm Island DLC is great, map is a bit small looking, but lots crammed in to it. New weather effects such as heavier rain and fog are done really well.

EDIT: the difficulty seems ramped up a bit, it's harder to chain a decent points run (especially with some of the chicanes), tighter track widths and more frequent checkpoints, and some of these off-road heavies handle like a boat. All great fun though and well worth picking up if you enjoy the game.

man, it's 1:50pm here now so about 4:50am ib the UK. Playing a race on Forza Horizon 2 then all of a suddern the race is cut off and I'm told to update the game. WTF! Couldn't it of waited until the race was over? Oh well, at least I should be able to get the new storm island DLC now or will it tell me to go and take a walk because I live in Japan?

That is a bit harsh, I had to quit the game and restart it three times from 9.30pm UK time to get it to pick up the update so I could play the DLC.
Not sure about the DLC being out in Japan.

Updated mine in the night (and drove all the roads on the island). The game update was 1.3Gb so a total of about a 5Gb download before I could play (I did wait for the complete update). A new idea is that you can't get some of your free cars immediately (not a problem I suppose but annoying nevertheless).
