I think our match demonstrates that while I can play the game I have poor decision making skills lol. I just finished a lunch time session where it was 1-1 a piece with a Ken Master, both of us in Burnout, one round each, I had him in the corner and what did I do on his wake up, walked back and did a Dragon Lash to go straight into a Lvl 3. Could have taken that one.

Diamond 5 is a bit of a miserable place, lots of ones and runners, if you beat them they don't rematch, if it was close and they have a feeling they could lose they don't rematch (some poor Ryu got me 3 times yesterday).

I have had more cord pullers in D5 then any other rank and then there are the Master Players taking other characters to Master. But I am so close I can taste it.

But 9 months in and I still log in everyday, this game superb to play and I have even managed to put a little crew together and have been running custom room sessions and even a league.

You play different than most Kens though. It caught me off-guard and I think the reason is that you've had lots of Ken vs grappler experience (you said your sparring partner is a Gief player). So I think you were privvy to some setups, so I had to adjust after about 5 rounds

There is a lot more one and doners for sure. Just keep going and if you lose a few on the bounce, maybe turn it in for the night.

Wait for those Master rankers to appear and hopefully bag a shed load of points when you beat them.

I beat a Geif Master at lunch and only got 79 points, I was very surprised usually I get 250.

I this was an excellent analysis on the use of DRC and of the thought process that goes into a round.

Yeah that's big brain stuff. I will never possess that skill. All I got is the churn.

Yeah, I watch this guy. But he's another level with his drive rush checking.

And I am still in pretty much the same spot as when we last met.

I am so inconsistent, I beat players I shouldn't and lose to ones I really should beat.

Still loving the game though and playing everyday. Now I started looking for people walking back so I can low forward DRC my win rate is a lot better. Yesterday I did st jabb twice as a Blanka walked back and I just went cr.MK DRC, cr.mp, target combo, run DP xx Level 3 and it looked so sick, must admit I watched that back a few times.

I feel your frustrations. I must have gotten to Master 'Rank-up opportunity' about 8 times. Sometimes sinking back to halfway through D5. Weirdly, I had like a 2 week break due to playing Dragon's Dogma 2, came back and went on a crazy run. It just be like that sometimes. I don't really want to teach. a granny to suck eggs with advice for you as I felt you were strong enough to do it. Maybe play with the 3 lives rule each day. Once you lose 3 sets in a session, call it a day for ranked and do some Casual matches with the sole purpose of trying something you need to work on.

I have a put together a little crew now so we do a lot of winner stays on in custom rooms, the skill level is from newbie right to one of them fighting the likes of Takamura, Killzyou, Brokski and actually winning.

Thing is even when I lose I look at the replay and work on improvements. The game is just so much fun, this really reminds me of my addiction to SF2.

Akuma will challenge foes worthy enough to face him in Fighting Ground, World Tour, and the Battle Hub.

Plus according to the SF6 YouTube channel a major balance patch is coming on the 22nd too.

For a few seconds there, I thought they had foolishly chosen to not go with Raging Demon, but oh my does it look great.
