Do you know who the player is on the Psy2 DVD?

The player on the Psyvariar1 DVD was ISO (the easy mode player on the Ikaruga appreciate dvd) and the best Psyvarair score ever achieved was done by Yusemi (the hard mode player on the Ikaruga appreciate dvd).

With the new additions here (like the stage select) and the ability to use the PS2 pad I am seriously considering giving this another go. There are just too many good games at the moment!

Yeah boss - the Buzz type player is DESIの弟子　and the shooting type player is U-Z.

OMG man you would have loved it playing these games in Akihabara! The arcade I spent most time in had a floor dedicated to shoot em ups and the sickest thing was everything was getting RINSED! If you wanted to see sick level play you just had to choose a game and watch, every time I bowled thru there were truly savage players at work.

You'll get sick at the game man! Anything you need help with just post here! I've been playing this game like a crack whore since it came out and aint anywhere near finished with it yet. Get the game in, use this thread for tactics and advice and challenge on the high score threads and I bet you'll get it down proper!

What is a gluon?

In physics, gluons are the bosonic particles which are responsible for the strong nuclear force. They bind quarks together to form protons and neutrons as well as other hadrons; their electric charge is zero, their spin is 1 and they are generally assumed to have zero mass (although a mass as large as a few MeV may not be precluded). Gluons are ultimately responsible for the stability of atomic nuclei; there are eight different kinds of gluons.

In quantum chromodynamics (QCD), today's accepted theory for the description of the strong nuclear force, gluons are exchanged when particles with a color charge interact. When two quarks exchange a gluon, their color charges change; the gluon carries an anti-color charge to compensate for the quark's old color charge, as well as the quark's new color charge. Since gluons thus carry a color charge themselves, they can also interact with other gluons, which makes the mathematical analysis of the strong nuclear force quite complicated and difficult.

The first experimental traces of gluons were found in the early 1980s at the large electron-positron collider PETRA at the DESY in Hamburg, when evidence for a clear three-jet structure was found; the third jet was attributed to one of the produced quarks emitting a gluon.........Or the First mid boss and Final Boss of Psyvariar 2

Haha, with any luck I should come out of Christmas with sufficient cash in pocket to pick this up. I'm still new to shooters, and although I get the feeling I'm going in at the deep end a bit, would really like to get this, especially after playing it briefly at the meet a few weeks back.

Psy 2 is great just i can't stand the soundtrack especially the mode select track, all this made trippy house stuff eww...

LOL you dont like your house and trance? The music is Psyvariar 2 makes me melt! ///_^\\ especially Area 0 and Area 3! Area 5....I'd buy that on a single! XD The heaviest thing they do in Psy 2 is when they kick attacks off on beat - I love that **** so much! The timing on the Xbox version is all over the place as the speed keeps changin, going back to the DC version and having the shots kicking off on beat (especially the way Area 5 mid boss busses out that big radial attack as the choon's b line drops - that's magic!)

Funnily enough I don't like house or trance music but the music in Psyvarier 2 is superb, suits the game perfectly as per stage etc, soundtrack's ost remixes are good too. ^_^'
(haha I hated the way the xbox version's ,music volume was made softer)

When i was playing it constantly to catch up with the leaders on the ntsc leader board, i used to put it on mute and listen to grime :P i think it works better!

Picked up the PS2 copy of this today.
Haven't really tested the actual game. Been too busy watching the special DVD that comes with it which is just awesome!!!

This DVD has proper vids! There are also strategies(in Japanese) which explain different parts of the stages in detail. You can also choose to view clips of these points.

The guy in the videos makes the game look silly! By far the best player Ive seen!

This is what I love most about this game! My 8000s on Area 3 feel like absolute canage but they arent at all! How the hell do you get 9000odd out of Area 1!??!? This is gonna make the way even better for me, I've proper reached my limit as to what I can work out with the bosses etc and seeing some fresh play will get me playing again daily!

Theres a spot just above the bosse's centre, if you stay there when he fires the blue and pink bullets, you won't die and you won't damage the boss. You can get a lot buzz from just those 2 sets of attacks.
