We're all gamers here, so I know you'll relate to what I'm about to say.
Taking advantage of an afternoon lull at work, I found a quiet corner and finished of Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga for the GBA.
I personally found that last boss to be somewhat tricky, and it took me several attempts before I finally beat it. As such, there was lots of frustrated huffing and puffing and silent cursing on my part. However, perseverance eventually paid off (as it so often does), and I made that boss my bitch.
Now from childhood, one of the best things about gaming for me has always been the buzz you get from finally overcoming a troublesome end boss; of finally beating a game that's been taunting you. The feeling is indescribable; knowing that you've finally done it. You've faced a challenge and overcome it.
You feel on top of the world. Indestrucible. And you can't wait to move on to the next game and do it again. In a strange way, it's almost like a drug.
So can you relate to what I'm saying? When was the last time gaming did that to you and what was the game? Please share here.
That buzz. Non-gamers don't know what they're missing.
