Just turned to ITV1 now and saw the program was about video games. Checked my program guide and it now looks like the program has been put back to 8pm. Unless that is, they're going to repeat it after Coronation Street which is on next.

    Thanks, ITV.

These are old tired one-dimensional cliche arguments. The editing is the most predictable part for me. It's almost a mockery of itself.

Apart from that, the most I can take from this documentary is that one of the underage boys who was going around shops to pick up games illegally seems to have been filmed at Millgate in Bury. The town where I live.

I'm trying my best not to yell "ITS RATED 18 YOU F***WIT!!!!". Jesus, why didn't ITV shop their parents to the police for letting their kids play the game.

          Load of bollocks so far

Instead of blaming a game how about blaming the ignorant parents who let their child get hold of a ****ing rifle?

I like how they've done the usual thing of transferring the game footage by pointing a camcorder at a TV set to give it a ruthless, bootleg look. That's really clever

..."we contacted the shops that sold our boys SEVEN 18-rated videos."

Videos? Do you or do you not know what the program you're presenting is about?

Notice how the only professional has blatantly said there is NO connection between games and violence...and that the snipers had done something and used the game as an excuse. Is that the focus? lol, of course not...it's back to how evil videogames are and that parents should be stopping kids from playing game

                Arseholes...

One thing which always baffles me with the mainstream media is that they can't bring themselves to say 'videogames'.

They kept referring to them as 'videos'. How is it possible to take any of this journalism seriously when they can't get the fundamental basics right?

Blah, blah, blah... same old argument... of course, the fact that these people who committed these crimes are sick ****s doesn't come into it.

This isn't just a bunch of elitist videogaming snobs moaning for the sake of moaning.

That was an exceptionally piss poor piece of 'investigative' journalism. But heck, I suppose we do have to remember this is ITV here.

                        What a load of toss!
it was just one long go at Rockstar.
The only people to blame are stupid retailers and most of all dumb **** parents who just dont have a clue. For god sakes the games they are talking about have 18 on the box, bet if one of those kids tried to slip a porno past the folks the results wouldn`t be the same.

Wasn't that bad. I laughed a fair bit, but what they were saying was essentially correct. The "videos" ( ) have an 18 rating and the parents should be thinking about whether they want their kids to play them or not. There was a degree of look at all this violence, but most of the parents weren't bothered.

                              its was pretty crap

they concentrated on rockstar and even got parents to blame them

but they only mentioned that the judge and police couldnt find a link thru the statement from rockstar

at the end of the day parents are to blame they need to take more notice what the child is playing

                              now where ma shotgun....................

                                I thought it was awful.

A complete lack of balance and a very skewed prespective to produce and reflect a message with the interviewees. The editing was hilarious though.

Did you see the camera shots of the teenager playing Manhunt in the dark with his eyeball all bulged?

Not to laugh at some of the more serious violent 'connections' between incidents and certain games, but it's quite clear one of the editors for that 'Tonight' programme has aspirations to direct a B-movie horror flick.
