Me too - ?19.99 on the PS2 in Game - will pick that up I reckon. Nice boxart dontcha think? You can't criticise Ignition/SNK Playmore/whoever for the quality of the boxart so far - KOF 00/01 in particular - they have all been really cool.

Aint SNK vs Capcom Chaos just about the most uninspired game released for many a year?

They can **** right off with that if it's accurate, given that the US double pack of 4 and 5 is only about ?20.

****ing Ignition. Biggest bunch of jokers around.

its garbage but i like it. if thats makes sense. i'm all to aware of its flaws but it was refreshing to see new designed capcom sprites and no more regurgitated rubbish like the dreaded morrigan sprite (shudders.)

Looking over play.com and game.net today and I see that KOF didn?t come out? again. Isn?t this somthing like the 4th time it has missed its release date.

              Edit: Pal XBox BTW

what an effin surprise. **** you Ignition. What i don't understand is why it takes so long to port a 16bit (well 24bit) 3 year old game based on archaic hardware to the current most powerful console that can emulate the game in its sleep. Is it that hard to write the Live code into the game?

Yeah not even that, the game was ported ages ago, all Ignition do is localise it for the pal market, like what, stick their logo in it and print some inserts. WTF are they up to!?!

Ignition may suck at putting games out, but they rule at sending free stuff. I emailed them to see if they could send me a poster of the KOF 00/01 artwork, and they sent me one of each poster for all of their releases thus far! I also keep pestering them to release more games - I want Re-Bout!

Rebout is an awesome nostalgia trip. Its worth buying just to hear that sweet Neo Geo CD music, phycho Soldier and the England stage etc etc.

Any release updates? For the first time in my life i'm considering dropping the ports and buying the games in mvs format finances permitting of course since they aint really that much, its just the initail costs of setting up the hardware.. Just been informed by ignition that theyre in negotitions to port SNK titles based on the atomiswave which would be great news as NGBC, SS: TENKA and KOF XI could see release in europe which is something i never thought likely

Would i be right in thinking that most snk fans would actually import the stuff anyway?

                            Comment

Probably but in my case i'd just wait for a pal release if i knew it was coming

If anybody is interested, Amazon.de has the PS2 version of King of Fighters 2002 listed as available since September 7th. Maybe this is just a fault in the system, as Amazon.co.uk still has it for release on September 30th.
On the other hand, they have all versions of Kof 2003 and Samurai Showdown 5 now for release in January/February 2006!
The Metal Slug games are still scheduled for September 30th and October 17th, however I think those releases will also be pushed back soon.

Does anyone know more about what is going on with the Neo Geo ports?
