I dunno........ I think Biohazard DS looks quite well on the portable format....... Possibly because the size of screen hiding most of the jags......

Well, if any of the Wii shoot em up style games are anything to go by......... snippets of familiar environments in Umbrella Chronicles and Darkside are already hints of what Biohazard 2/3 could look like with an update..........

Biohazard 3 is really just an extension of 2 really......... So in a way 2 already git an update

Games only normally age if they are technically constrained, resulting in a poor frame rate, or are just no longer up to scratch.

Although the graphics of Resident Evil 2 & 3 have aged, like all decade old games, the backgrounds are full of incidental details and are dripping in atmosphere.

The first Resident Evil is less impressive nowadays, but I argue that Resident Evil 2 & 3 still look great.

I reckon a Resi 4 style remake of Resi 2 would work brilliantly. I think they have aged as a template regarding the older games and would struggle to sell to the levels Capcom would expect them to now unless in Resi 4's styling. I imagine CV has aged a lot due to the infancy of its 3D engine (though it's still my fave).

Yeah, I played through the original when it came out, using a guide in the end and never really got into it, then played a demo of RE2 and got grabbed by a zombie, then staggered back and grabbed by another before I could react, which repeated 'til I died, so I wasn't very impressed and didn't really touch an RE game 'til 4, because I was assured it was different enough for me to enjoy.

But the Chronicle games on the Wii piqued my interest in the older games, so I picked up RE2 recently for 5p on PS1 and loved it, then tracked down RE1 and RE3 on PS1 and loved them too.

I didn't really like the Zero bits in the Umbrella Chronicles and had read mediocre to poor reviews of it, but ended up giving it a go and also loved that one, along with REmake, which I got most recently.

So I wouldn't say the graphics spoiled my enjoyment at all in the PS1 games, I didn't find the remake much, if any scarier, not the original bits at least. I'd have to agree with people who have said they should concentrate on RE6, rather than do any remakes, I think RE games are at their best when you don't know what's coming.

I'm surprised anyone found the bosses in RE Zero that hard though... The scorpion, just stand in the corner and shoot downward at its claw when it comes close and you should be able to beat it with a pistol and take no damage.

I think it was the centipede next, just keep out its way and shoot it when it stops (working out its route and where to stand).

Then I think it was the bat thing, just stand as far back as possible with it in view and keep shooting.

The penultimate boss, make sure your two characters have powerful guns equipped and switch to whoever needs health and use an item (keeping a regular eye on health) and just stand there and shoot.

The last boss is the toughest, but lure it away from your partner and keep moving - I beat that one first time, like most of the others...

I suppose the main thing is to never use the magnum et al on non-boss characters and avoid the monkeys etc rather than shooting them.

I really disagree . I like RE Saturn more than the remake, I love the old backgrounds , the yet to be better music track (for RE games) Hell even that old FMV intro, made one feel you were playing a 1980's style Gore Horror classic. It all classic stuff

I haven't long played the DC versions of RE 2 again , and to me the only part of the game that really aged badly is the Intro and FMV . The game 2D backgrounds are still pretty awesome with great attention to detail and lovely little touches, the gameplay classic RE stuff, and the character models do the job fine and are really well animated . I see no need what so ever for a remake. So much rather Capcom just put all the main RE games up on Live and PSN .

A remake for a game as big as RE 2 in this day and age would be a massive undertaking and Capcom are not the biggest of companies . I much rather just put all their efforts and resources into RE 6 and bring focus more on the horror, rather than the Big set action pieces

^ I dunno about that last bit about an RE2 remake being massive, it really doesn't have to be... why can't they just update the character models, bring them closer to the background? Wouldn't that be much cooler? going a bit off topic now...

I don't really want any remakes of FFVII-IX but if SE could stop with the bull**** about how it'll take 30 years to remake VII and just polish the one they already have now then that'd be a VII remake I'd want...
