straying bit into retro heaven, but just found a what looks like near perfect 59.94 run on Super Mario Kart - Mario Circuit 1 on an old CD and had to share the love, god the number of hours I spent on this track was frightening. Right click and save as, not great quality but less than 3mb.

Don't know who the player was or I would give them full credit.

That video is absolutley crazy, my fastest time was around the 1'09 mark with Bowser. I kept hitting the pipes with DK! ft:

      Can't wait for DS Version.

That squid idea is making me cringe already.

There needs to be more in the way of racing this time round, not cheating. I never liked the spikey blue shell.

New track's, 8 player battles and a great sense of speed is what Mario Kart DS needs.

But it really justifies the use of the second screen and that imo is enough to keep the idea, plus it will make multiplayer online battles, hectic, crazy , and best of all.......FUN!

New video up, courtesy of Neo from GA.

How smooth does that look, damn fast as well, fantastic stuff. November can't come soon enough, online MK will just consume my free time.

                    I want I want I want I want I want!

Is it me or are nintendo really good at hiding polygon defficiencies in their games? Mario Kart DD wasn't amazing from a technical standpoint yet when u look at it it just looks so right, looking at this, it's blatently got much chunkier course design, yet there looks to be so much going on at once that you don't really seem to notice the same.

The 3D looks pretty impressive, the detail is well above N64 level. It's all 60fps too.

Along with Animal Crossing and Nintendogs it forms a pretty amazing fall line-up of DS goodness.

despite the shaky cam capture, that movie shows MK: DS looking smooooth...

sense of speed seemed spot on too - all good!

So...I'm sitting in my local fast food place. It says on the door "free wireless internet here".

Can I bring my DS in, park my arse down and play for free?

                          *feels stupid*

Its a video of the multiplayer (not sure if it's jus wifi or online) mode too isn't it? Looks nice and lag free.

no need to feel daft; it's a good question. and the answer is: no-one knows just yet. in theory, if it's free you shouldn't have to log-in & therefore it shouldn't be a problem. but until someone's checked it out, i wouldn't go carving your name on a seat just yet...

Well there appear to be 3 luigis and a yoshi which I'm not convinced is something single player would normally have in it so I'm assuming from that, that it's a multiplayer vid prolly bein played against other people from the show.
