Stopped by PC World in Bristol @ 21:30. Turns out they decided to stay open until midnight.

They had 3 core packs, some accessories & some games. I was the first there. I selected to take the only hard drive, the only charge and play kit (already have a wireless pad at home + VGA lead arriving tomorrow), and the only xbox live headset - I took a remote too; as well as PGR3, PDZ (limited edition) + Kameo. I sat there on my own until around 23:00 when another gentleman joined me - and then my mate from worked got there around 23:30 - all 3 of us happy campers walked away with a core and some bits and bobs. Although I got away with most .

Went to Belfast GAME after the pub quiz at White's finished at midnight, queue of about 50 people and they ran out of spare systems except for preorders (mine 22nd august). Have played PD0 and kameo with a few mates until we ran into a bug on kameo co-op where we both kept dying and respawning, falling through the floor! Will go to sleep now and wake up for more PD0 later

returned from my midnight trip to game @ gone 1:30 and i was about half way in the queue. Must have been around 150+ people. Got there just after 11. Luckily the shop is inside a shpping centre and the doors to that opened @ 11:30 so not too cold or wet.

Got home wired it all up, spent 10 mins trying to sync the controller with the console, (wasn't pressing the big x thingy down hard enough - lol.)

Played some Q3, downloaded geom wars demo, mental game, had a mess around with the visulizer, trippy.

Gotta say the console is very noisy when the dvd drive is being used, very noisy indeed - apart from that am very happy so far, games + everything else all looks lurvely - controller seems to melt into hands, blah blah - off to bed now, lots a gaming to do all day tomorrow - 8)

                Well that was fun.

Got there about half 11 and had to wait until about 12.15 to eventually get in. Which we waited about for ages for people to take our details. Eventually both me and my mate got served and sold but they put a wireless adapter in my bundle instead of play n charge kit even though it was marked on my sheet and there were 'none left' apparently!!? So I gotta go in next week to get it now!!!

Was very very badly co-ordinated and I was so close to punching some people in the face!!!!

Didn't actually get a machine myself as I have one on the way from GamePlay, but I've been working Asda night shift all night and saw the whole thing!

Anyone get a machine at Asda Longwell Green in Bristol? If so, I saw you! :P

People started arriving at 8am - no lie. People were sitting in the corner of the Music and Video section on deckchairs reading books/have headphones on. Here's the funny bit - almost all were in their 30's. The young'uns didn't appear till after 11pm.
14 units, only 6 Premium, 2 people got turned away. In the end, they decided to give people tickets labelled 1 to 14.
Get this - we got a secret hush-hush second shipment later in the night! I reckon if you didn't get a unit, nip down to Asda NOW - they may have had a secret second shipment too. I reckon stock is being held for walk-in buyers, as Microsoft is recommending.

Me, I just waited until my lunch break at 1:30pm, nipped over to the remaining stock out back and took my pick of the leftovers
Got me Kameo, Condemned (wasn't gonna bother, but on-the-spot decided to), Quake 4, and a Play-&-Charge kit.
The people who queued seemed to have taste. No PGR3's left, only one PDZ (the LE one - I got one on the way anyway), only 1 Kameo (which I bought). The box full of the EA games full of Fifa, NFS and the like was untouched - no gaps implying any were bought - take that EA, people want RR6.
Didn't get many accessories, just wireless controllers (all gone with the consoles) and a Play-&-Charge kit (which I bought).

Here's a thing - the price of 360 games at Asda is ?39.99. This makes them cheaper than most online retailers such as GamePlay. With my staff 10% discount card, that makes then ?36!

                      Fair play!

I was going to go to our 24 hour Asda Wal-Mart last night and see if I could get one at midnight, but didn't bother after hearing the reports of some Asda stores already having people queuing from 13:00 yesterday when those stores were getting 8-10 units in.

I wish I went and had a look now, or is that the hype talking?

                          Xbox 360 Get Ching!

Went to game this morning there was about 50 people there. Picked up my pre-ordered 360 premium with 5 games (inc condemmed) for ?450 and spare wireless pad. They had +2+ VGA cables that went ot order 0001 and 0002. I was three Our game had one premium system on the shelf but I just missed it.

Also picked up a core system pack core system, memory card and 4 games for 399, for my mate. They forced you to buy the pack if you hadn't pre-ordered.

THe shocking thing though was after the first 10 ?399 packs had sold, the remaining were all being forced at ?600++ which I thought was scandalous.

                          Regards,
                          Neil.

Although packs are being forced, which I don't think is right, is any money being saved compared to buying the things separately?

I was working backshift last night so I pleaded my the mrs to go and wait at our local tesco extra as they were getting 8 units in. She got there at 5.50 and was informed there were 4 premiums and 4 cores. There was already 5 people in the line with numbered tickets, so it was a core pack for me then. She was sixth in the line and proceeded the long wait. Number 5 ticket through in the towel only 30 minutes into the wait. Must of thought it was pointless waiting for the core pack. My Mrs now 5th in line. I turned up at 11.30 after work for the final half an hour. At 11.56 they brought the consoles round to the desk only for the woman serving to announce that she had made a mistake and there were 5 premiums and 3 cores!! Jackpot! Man pack was all mine.

That is the first bit of good luck I have had this year!
