i got one at launch for ?200, the main game i wanted it for was power stone and crazy taxi as i loved the crazi taxi arcade game it seamed so original and open at the time. it was good while it lasted and it had loads of good releases, there was something new every month that was worth getting as concept said. i really shoudent of spent as much money on it as i did, but i wouldent change that.
The offical magazine was good two and had quite a lot of demos every month. but in the end it just couldent live up to the hype of the ps2, even with all its classic games. mabey if it had gone head to head it might of done better, as at the time i had loads of freinds going on about theyd waite for the ps2 which had a severe lack of good games at launch.
another console around that time that was blatentley past over for the inferior gbc was the neo geo pocket it has some ace games and i still take it on trips o play the likes of samari showdown, neoturf masters and metal slug.
its times like these that you just gotta think well there loss

Within a few months of owning a Dreamcast, it became my favourite games machine of all time.
The Dreamcast represents everything I love about video games, originality, innovation, arcade roots, involvement and emotion.
The death of the Dreamcast represents everything I dislike about video games, hype, bull****, fanboyism, conservatism, and Electronic Arts.
Some incredible sounding games in that list. The Tokyo Bus Guide sequel would have been a great game, seriously, haven't you played the original?
Beach Spikers
Castlevania Ressurection
Densha de Go! 3
Dynamic Golf
Gun Valkyrie (with light gun support as originally intended)
Half Life
House of the Dead 3
Jet Set Radio Future
Propeller Arena (this was actually finished, delayed, then canned)
Super Monkey Ball (hard to take)
Time Crisis II
Virtua Golf
I think some of those games made it to the UK though (Spec Ops II and Sega Soccer 2001 (or was it 2000?)).
