Unbeatable Bosses - Oh the shame!!!

Did a search on this and only found Easy Bosses and Cool Looking Bosses!

Anyways, have you come up against a Boss that's just too much for you to beat? Played against them again and again yet still not managed to cleared their Health Bar and rid the game world of their evil presence?

I'm the type of player who mostly isn't especially bothered whether I reach the end of a game or not (its all about the journey, man!) and as a result I never managed to beat the final Boss of Metroid Prime. Partly it was due to the effort needed to get up into his room in the first place after each defeat and partly because I never wanted that game to end. We still have unfinished business and that is keeping the experience alive for me in some weird way. I know deep down inside I have the ability to beat him - and I will when I'm ready to let go.

King Blue in Viewtiful Joe on the other hand is one of those bosses I simply can't seem to destroy - let alone with a respectable score. I have managed it on Adults but on V-Rated he is just invincible. Had 10 attempts last night (after Rainbow V'ing every stage leading up to him) and he spanked all 10 lives out of me like I was a red headed step child. Its a feud that's been boiling away for a couple of years now and has no sign of ending.

EDIT - The King is dead, long live TEH KING!!!!!

Two unbeaten bosses for two very different reasons. You guys got a gaming nemesis and what are your reasons for not finishing them? Maybe together we can share the pain and help ease the suffering

Mizar in Jet Force Gemini. Difficulty ramped up A LOT for that boss.

Metroid Prime for me too, cos I didn't bother collecting all the power ups, so found the boss a tad tricky. And a bit dull too, so never bother trying more than a few times.

      Almost every boss, ever.

Bosses are the worst thing about gaming.

You didn't need power-ups to beat Metroid Prime, you just needed to be observant. I found that most people who complained about it being too hard hadn't noticed the grooves in the floor that MP makes that you can roll down between its legs when it charges at you.

The stupid big fat pink turd thing at the end of Parasite Eve 2 was too hard for me coz it basically required you to have about a million rockets. I couldn't be bothered to go back out into the main level to find more than I already had (about 50) so I gave up.

Special mention: Last boss on Bangaio on N64.

Ah, an amnesty - good idea.

The big blob thing in Devil May Cry (Nightmare?) the 2nd time you meet him. Can't do it. I suppose it doesn't help that I'm **** at the game.

I find Gill on 3rd Strike cheap-although I know better players batter him with ease.

Another tough boss is Gannon on Zelda 3-he was rock hard....

              Mostly shoot-em-ups ...

Bangaoi: would have persevered with the final boss, if it wasn't for the long trek through the final level every time.

R-Type: Bydo keeps me at bay every time with those spinning things.

Einhander: After what seemed like a lifetime battling the

              other Einhander ships

, my brain just gave up. Is there an end to that section???

Ikaruga: The final boss has three attack patterns ... for some reason, I just cannot survive the second (the snakey things), even though the third is soooo easy.

Snk they have a habit of making bosses cheesy and frustrating beyond belief.

And boss moves that are designed to get you frustrated perhaps with a cheeky delayed hit at the end of one of there moves

Shamefacedly, I had my brother's copy of EA's first Lord Of The Rings game for months and failed to clear the bloody Cave Troll in Moria for some reason.

Only slightly more honorable, but I singularly failed to find a way to beat that flying idiot at the end of DOA 2 other than blind luck.

Not sure of the name of the boss, but it was on Guilty Gear XX (I think) on the Xbox.

Even on Easy mode this boss was just the hardest boss in the world. I tried so many times with a mate to win, and the best we could manage was one round. Not impressed!

I found the one on DOA3 worse, why they thought it would be a good idea to make that battle play differently to the rest of the game I'll never know.

the Bangai-o boss wasn't so hard! I tried it so many times that I perfected the level and could dash through it to get to him in about a minute. It was just luck and timing to kill him.
