Need for Speed Carbon demo is up 1gb demo

Anyone download need for speed yet? hows it play only just started my downloaded so ill be here a while

I'm just doing it now, interested to see what it will be like. As NFS: MW was great fun and well worth the GAME ten day rental. So hopefully this will be as well and I hope they havent changed the mechanics of it too much as I really liked how MW was done. And I hope it isn't all night time, thats the only pictures I've seen of it.


EDIT: My download wont work, it keeps stopping straight away saying "Can't Download Need For Speed Demo".

My connection is fine as I'm just downloading something else now from Xboxyde at near full speed! Is MS's servers acting up for anyone else then?

There's a couple of X06 preview videos up as well now. One of them features Cliffy B's demonstrated section at the opening conference in direct-feed for 30 or so seconds.

Will someone tell me why Microsoft aren't promoting Alan Wake by producing a new direct-feed trailer for Live, or Gears of War for that matter? They're two of the most stunning next-gen looking games currently on the planet. I'm puzzled why they wouldn't want to promote that.

Played it for about ten minutes. the main games not up to much, would play better with a stick. there's a number of mini games though, some multiplayer. not given them a go yet.

I'm grabbing hold of it now as well. There's also a new video to do with X06 in the Bringing It Home section which I've got on pending. Hopefully it'll be direct feed highlights of the second half of the press conference and feature some Alan Wake extendedness.

The game itself is actually very good.

But the framerate. Now THAT is dire.
