I went to Sainsbury's earlier, do you reckon if I contact a solicitor I'll get my money back?
I'd like to know what her actual job is. A "multi-media executive with the KM Group" sounds like it's a decent enough position to be getting £1,000 spare every six months. Unless that's just CV talk and she's a cleaner at KM group.

My favourite part is if you search for her employer on Google it brings up these results, look at the top result. She's a multi-media executive with the KM Group?

I have only just read the comments on the story.
Comments that make sense? Surely not.
"Always someone elses fault apart from the parents isnt it.Any lawyer would laugh this out of court.Sorr Miss Matthews, just accept your son did wrong and you shouldnt have been so flippant with your credit card details. Handy you work for KM though to get you more publicity."
"Try reading the t&cs before giving your 11 year old son unrestricted access to your credit card. Silly woman!"
"The boy looks like a young Stephen Mangan and the Mum, well, you would, wouldn't you?"

Only had a quick read, but the article doesn't ever criticise microsoft or xbl, or anyone else does it? She just says she wants to raise awareness in parents about this issue.
In hindsight obviously she was dumb, but I can easily see how it could happen. Ask your mum whether or not you can rack up bills through your console, see if she knows. Or even better, as the kid might have done, insist to her that you can't and see if she believes you...
