well they'd get much bigger when they're ported across. i mean sonic on xbla is like 20-odd MB i think, whereas the megadrive original is 1MB

Most of that is to code the achievements and online scoreboards I imagine.

Space Giraffe/Tempest sounds like a bargain for 400 points. That really is the price point most XBLA games should be at, and if anything the really old retro stuff should be 200 points.

Generally it must be time for some of that stuff to have a price drop surely?

I was gonna buy the shivering isles expansion today only to see it's still 2000+ MS points!! Then I looked at some older stuff and saw Bankshot Billiards was still 1200 points!

They cut the price on one of the Ghost Recon expansion packs I seem to recall, but generally the price something launches at is the price it stays at. It seems online retailing does not follow the same rules as brick and mortar...

I emailed Major Nelson about this when it was raised last. Not entirely sure if he's capable of doing anything, but as director of programing for Xbox Live, I'd say its within his powers. Or if not, he should know the people to talk to.
