I cant see much hope from it. The character design looks ropey and alot like Prey. Just looks like they have been having one big party with the name for donkeys years then run out of money.

The characters just dont look that well made. Not on about the artistic design of who they are Im on about how their shown. Just looks very dated.
I hope we get a movie of Apogae's antics over the years of why it took so long and what they got up to. Animal house in a office I would expect lol

I would have been chuffed if they would have shipped out the game they showed back in 2001. The trailer showed some great looking set pieces.

Reading comments from the hardcore fans, something doesn’t add up; no financial problems at all up until this point, (they were taking on more people) no loans, nothing. Then they show the game to Take Two (guess work from here on in) which must have gone badly as it went quiet again shortly after. Presumably George went in asking for cash, but if their backs were already against the wall why hemorrhage more money hiring level designers?
Also, regarding how far along the game was, I remember listening to an interview with Jace Hall on 1up, and he stated something along the lines of: "I’ve shipped games in worse condition."
Very confusing.
I mean, is it in a state of completion, have they actually properly shut down (still no official word), are they waiting for someone to buy the IP? and if is the case, maybe we’ll see someone like id or Valve step in.
I actually feel more optimistic.Last edited by Kit; 08-05-2009, 12:22.

I'm really surprised that they managed to get away with it for so long to be honest. They've been funding it for around 12 years and still have absolutely nothing of worth to show for it.
I wonder how much has been invested in it over the 12 years? Have they released other games in that time apart from the hand held Duke Nukem games?
It's always a shame when studios close down like this but they're hardy the model of a successful business when it comes to this game so it's difficult to feel sorry for them.
