Well I got it last week... great game.. done 45% of the world so far (eek).

Not so impressed with Dead or Alive 4 though, nice women, horrible game.

Bomberman comes soon (I hope!) - but still pleased with mine... even if Geometry Wars is my most played game =)

Dead Rising is certainly the game that may make me get one, couple of questions:

I have a CRT Sony Wega, which is sadly quite new and not going to be upgraded for a little while, how are the gfx gonna look?

And I have wi-fi but my ds freezes after 10 mins online due to me not being able to change the speed settings of the router, will this cause a prob on Live? (its a 3com and the speed is a constant 54kpbs on a 5.5 meg line)...

Well I've finally folded and parted with my money.

I've ordered a Japanese XBox360, the controller charger kit, an additional battery pack and also a US copy of Dead Rising.

Now's the matter of saving up the dough... I'm gonna get a brand new PAL machine too, release times and JPN only titles don't bother me on the 360 and because of all the faults people have had I wouldn't want to risk buying second hand and having no comeback.

I still love my CRT telly and have no plans to upgrade any time soon, I could still tell the grafics were an improvement on my friends CRT. It depends how perfectionist you're gonna feel about it.

Any difference you see is about the same as what you see increasing the resolution on a PC game. I tried FFXI on an SD CRT one time, and Christ, GUI took up half the screen.

But it's not as if you *need* HD to enjoy the 360 - I'd say the Marketplace, and other Live features are the main point, HD coming after.

What *would* be pointless would be a 360 without an internet connection.

This is the sort of thing i was thinking of, are there issues with wifi conectivity at all re: my last post?

Cheers for the info, i am the sort of person who would be driven insane if CRT was a whole lot worse than HD (of course i know there is a difference) but i'm still blown away by f zero gx on this wega! 8)
