Yeah you're right, I'll try it a bit later.

The AI just folds if it has nothing or bets loads if it has something good.

No it doesn't it's more subtle than that - the AIs play to a rule set by the looks of things. ie, play to the river, play the flop, risk every hand. Watch it properly ( as you should real players too ) and you'll see.

There's a few issues with the game I'd like to see fixed - the invite doesn't tell you what type of game you're about to play in if you join ( this is important ). Having to wait until you're going to post the big blind is a pain - just let people buy in straight away.

Well this is my first time playing poker properly, and while my friends gave me a right kicking intially,i decided to find some rooms to join so i could get the hang of things a little better.

Well i played some singleplayer and then thought screw this.So i jumped straight into an 8 man online tournament.I beat them all!

Came down to me and this other guy.He had $4000,i had $220.After about half an hour i wore him down and delivered the final punch.Bet he did'nt expect that.

Now that i understand the hands, this is brilliant fun.Like marty said, don't bother with the AI,just jump online and play with real people.

Tried to get online, heard some Welsh guy and went IS SOMEONE WELSH? He responded with the same thing and then the game locked up. Great.

Online is ace. Does the job. It's Texas Hold'em Poker! Another great addition to the Arcade.

'Sake. Was just in an 8 player game where the majority of the other players enjoyed going all-in before the flop on every hand. What fun.

Fun like flipping a coin repeatedly.

I just fancy some proper poker so I guess it'll be best to wait a few days.

Well, just had a go at this.
I tried to enter some tournament tables, and kept getting "failed to join game" (like SF2 all over again).
Finally, I managed to get into a table, but the buyin was 50000, so straight away I was 25k into the red.
I ain't seeing much evidence of this "persistent bankroll" malarkey producing much in the way of "real poker", cos everyone was just betting like crazy with 3-outs on the river, and all sorts of crap.
I waited for a decent hand, flopped a full house, went all in and predictably got called by the low pair and a king-high. Hello 150K and the 100K achievement. It might get better with time, but the real-money poker is calling me ...
Once I've got the achievements, this is getting deleted. It's kinda nice being able to gab with the players, but other than that, the on-screen display is awful ... too little room given to the important info ... and the game is sloooow, having to wait for everyone to press the green button now and then.
Not bad for eff-all, but ultimately a bit of a novelty.

Well, for someone who's only just started playing poker, I don't think it's bad that i've gone from $25000, to $220179 in one session.

Loving this, just played for an evening ith a nice bunch of people at a low bet table, blinds of three and six, no one really going over 1200 dollars total. Played all evening without having to buy in, and left on an all in victory doubling my money. Great stuff
