US Wii: Preorder Details Thread

I'm going to sell my other console on here probably.

I just spoke to IM.

This is everything:

Apparently first of all, my Zelda has not shipped. Anyone thats ordered gaems and accessories with their console, they are getting shipping confirmatinos but that actually means they are being put into a box ready to go out with your Wii. So if you have shipping confirmations for Wii stuff, it doesnt mean it has been shipped. Just its been put in with your Wii.

He said they are all definately going out tonight and they are expecting them to arrive in uk by 2am and then take approximately 1 day to clear customs (he says they found out they got a 1 day turnaround in customs for them). He then told anyone that wants to call them tomorrow to get theri tracking number off of him.

He says Wii's should be with us on Wednesday.

Also... good news. He says if we end up with consoles that dont work on line with the error he said we can send them back to IM and not have to deal with Nintendo. They'll replace the consoles and sort it through Nintendo themselves. And we'll only have to send otu consoles back to the UK warehouse and get one shipped back to us straight away after its recieved there.

He also said they're getting a HUGE shipment of Wii's in on Friday to open up orders again. So I'm pretty sure everyone that ordered from IM up until now will be getting one shipped tonight.

That whole thing regarding sending any broken ones back is excellent news too although I really hope it doesn't happen to me or anyone else on here.

This has been a fun/anxious post over the past week or so while us IM guys are waiting for them to ship but it does look pretty good now guys

Yeah, but he said that they will ship it on Friday. I guess it could be because I live in Sweden and not in the U.K. There are a lot of people from U.K. that has preordered from importmadness so I understand if they want to ship those consoles first.

Finally had an update on my tracking for the USPS parcel from Chicago airport! Only thing is there is no one in tomorrow! FFS! Never mind at least it's coming!

Now I need a component cable!

As it doesn't mention Import Tax on the tracking perhaps you've got away with it.

thx for the update elaniel. just to be thorough i also called IM. Me THREE

he said exactly whats been posted here already, but stressed that it could be wednesday/thursday before that we get our wiis. Customs are taking thier time to check all cargo so give them this IM job is done. They will contact customers tom to issue tracking numbers once cleared through customs. I should get an email and will update here when i do. Also a huge shipment of wii is being released by Nintendo this weekend, so anyone thinking of ordering thru IM or other site, hold off and check later in the week. Dont pay stupid prices like some sites are advertising :/

In all fairness i think the IM price is one of the best around atm, glad i stuck with them 2 days and then im hitting the babycham

What sort of size are the shipments they are receiving? Im currently 58 and really hope I can get one before Chrimbo.

When I spoke to them on Friday they talked about 3 shipments - one that day, then the others Monday and maybe Tuesday - totalling about 15 units.

That should mean that most everyone before me (but likely not me) will be covered.

I had an email from Sydney today saying "but we are trying to get as many units as possible so that could mean more".

They talked on Friday of expecting to have more towards the end of this week, but judging as how the shipments they expected late last week certainly didn't ship before today I don't think it's likely those'll ship before next Monday.

From this & from the apparent size of the shipments I would say that best estimate is that yours will ship around the 18th, considering your queue position.

My Import Madness order for my Wii was only made last week and is in the000006832x's, I bit the bullet and phoned them today and they said that their initial allocations are greater than expected and mine would also probably be filled by the current amount in stock, if not by Wednesday at the latest....hopefully.
