US Wii: Preorder Details Thread

Hmm im getting pretty worried about the distinct lack of information coming from VG+ and Nintendo in general. Its ridiculous if they don't have an allocation number by now surely?!

I really dont know what to do about this Wii now. I'm thinking of cancelling the order as if I dont get a component cable it will just be crap, especially playing it on a HDTV. I could always use it in the living room CRT until component arrives, but still, so much in debt, cant afford this plus all the games coming out but I really cant say no!!!

And the only game I want Wii for is Zelda right now, maybe I should just get it for Cube?

I ordered mine from DVDBO. I had a tip off from a friend and was refreshing the page 5 minutes before orders opened and probably got my order in in under 3 minutes (They had my old Credit Card on file so had a declined order, just had to re-enter my details)

Anyway, I got the email last week saying that mine wasn't going to be sent launch day, so they really can't be getting very many at all.

Just had a chat with our pal Chris; here's a transcript for those interested:

Nick: I just find it a little wierd that you don't know how many you're getting but you know it won't be enough to fill the first 15 minutes of pre-orders!
Chris: it is computer that knows the order of release
Chris: there could have been tons of orders in that time period

Nick: Will you be selling the component cables for the Wii?

I'm in the NTSC/PAL boat too. I've been allocated a console by Play, and I'm waiting for some news from Game as well. If VG+ can't allocate me a Wii then I'm going PAL.
