Compoisite is better than I thought it would be but it'll make the shift to component all the more satisfying when my cables arrive.

Mine ran the updates fine - no problems yet anyway.
But incoming bombshell alert! Baton down the hatches fellas.
I'm loving the Wiimote and the system (it a cracking piece of hardware through and through) but Jesus Christ, Composite is fecking awful.
I mean, really awful. It's like someone's slapped a load of Wintergreen in my eyes
What I'm seeing is nothing like the images posted here and on NeoGAF - Zelda is virtually a messy, blurry mess on my LCD set with Composite. Not being able to see the villagers faces is just the tip of the iceburg as to how bad it appears so I think I'm going to hold off playing it in any real depth until my Component lead turns up around the time of the UK launch.
Spoilt by HD gaming? Possibly (a year of the 360 will just about do that to anyone) but given that I know the Cube could do better than this, Nintendo really have made a bit of a blunder in not providing a plentiful supply of Component cables.
Excellent system, Wiimote and Nunchuk are truly excellent but damn it looks downright nasty via Composite.

Personally I wouldn't touch WEP as it's a bit weak and easily cracked. WPA's the way to go if you've got it - it's not fool proof but it's a lot more secure.
Is the web browser available on the Wii yet? Anything else worth setting the net stuff up for bar VC?
