It's already been mentioned but I'd love another game like Tombi to come out. The way it handled 'missions' by just giving you more and more and more stuff to do on the fly, and then also giving you the freedom to choose whatever order you wanted, is genius incarnate.

Also, a Jack The Nipper-type game, set in a dreary English suburbia, with loads of stuff to do and experiment with, would be nice.

Indeed, but wouldn't really work outside of England This is why the Speccy years were great. British people making games for a British computer using British humour.
I think Bully is about as close as we'll get.

There should have made more games like...

          CHOPLIFTER (SEGA)

One of my favourite coin-ops from the golden age of gaming?. An excellent scrolling shooter-cum-rescue game. The controls and the way the chopper moved and hovered were a big part of it's appeal as it just felt so right.

I'm aware of Prehistoric Isle 2 which is kinda similar, but that's about it as far as anything decent goes?

            I'd like remakes of

unirally(think thats whats its called), blastcorps, Daytona, Enduro Racer, Simpsons Arcade, Streets of Rage, Uridium

and I agree with previous comments re space war games a new xwing or tiefighter would be very very welcome.

Good call on Unirally- that was an ace little game. Even a spruced up version of the SNES release would be pretty good on the DS. You could even put online races in it, that would be ace.

And Dungeon Master- I'd absolutely love a proper, next gen update to that series. The original was amazing just on the humble ST, so a modern version could be mindblowing.

I always wanted a horizontally scrolling fighting game with IK+ speed & moves. Did one ever exist?

                  Monkey Island!
                  Mercenary!
                  The Great Escape!
                  James Pond / Robocod!

I would like new Chaos Engine game from Bitmaps Brothers in similar structure to Halo but with their characters and world.

                    Imagine that
