I'm gonna be a bit "controversial" here and say Runescape.

I lost a LOT of my college life playing that. Pah, college was **** anyway!

I'm hearing MattyD's comments on P.N.03. That can consume whole days when I get into it. Same with Mercenaries on Resi 4. I ****in' luuuuv Hunk.

Another game would be Mr. Driller Ace. Sometimes I'll be up at 3 AM going "make. it .stop." >_<

the first games that spring to mind are PSO, Goldeneye, Shenmue, Tetris Attack, Polarium, Ikaruga, Guitar Hero and Amplitude...

...all beaten by a mile by the streetfighter series, god only knows how many hours i've put into those games, 3S especially. There's something about having a hectic batle with a couple of mates and some beers that simply cannot be beaten

With Story based games there's Deus Ex (PC) and Oblivion (PC) but they in no way compare to Civilization 2.
For me, football manager is the most addictive in the sense that when I'm into a game, I'll play it almost every day for as much free time as I have.

Civ 2 has a different sort of addictiveness. I can go for months without a game, but once I start one, food, sleep, personal hygiene etc are all put to the back of the queue until the game's finished. Not even Football manager does that for me - I can at least think "OK, I'll continue it tomorrow" on management games.

Completely agree football manager, so damn addictive - when your winning you want to continue and accellerate up the league for that vital UEFA spot and when your losing you want to put things right and start winning again. Vicious cycle

Not to mention trying to find the next big thing through scouting all the u18's, and hopefully unearthing the that next Alan Shearer

Nothing has really beaten Street Fighter 2 turbo on the SNES closely followed by the original Mario Kart. It was a time of my life when all my mates played videogames and we had nothing else better to do. Great times!!

                          Football Manager

followed closely, but not that closely, by Oblivion and Final Fantasy VII and VIII...

These are the games that if totalled I lost months to in my lifetime.

Going to be predictable and say Tetris GameBoy is the most addictive game I've ever played. Probably followed by Street Fighter II on the SFC/Arcade.

Descent multiplayer. Lost count of the amount of lunchtimes and late nights I spent playing that game.

IMO undoubtably the best fps type multiplayer game yet concieved.

                                Split decision for me.

Football Manager series and PES series.
