Most Addictive Game Ever?

Addictive games make me feel like a lab rat in some crazy conditioning experiment - press button, get food pellet, press button, get food pellet... Except the food pellets I've been seeking are mahoosive combos in Ninja Gaiden, Resi 4 Mercenaries and P.N.03.
P.N.03 in particular must be pushing the right dopamine-releasing synapses because it's basically the same five or six rooms over and over and over but I still can't stop playing it.

The Civilization Games are the most addictive games known to me. My entire life is put on hold for months at a time everytime one of these comes out and was responsible for my lack of revision during my A-Level exams (To an extent that I banned all games from my life in my final year of University)
With Story based games there's Deus Ex (PC) and Oblivion (PC) but they in no way compare to Civilization 2.

Recently Halo 2 Multiplayer,
Put in about 600 Hours in Matchmade games, But I get addicted to everygame when it comes out, I complete GTASA in a week not 100% but around the 80% mark.
In my younger days it was SWOS, C Fodder and Probotector. At one time I was crazy addicted to Escape Velocity on the Mac...

Galaxians for me.
My all time favourite game, spent far too much pocket money including all my spending money I had been earning in my paper round for hols in Blackpool when I was a kid - had to start saving all over again. Only to spend it on said hols on Galaxians, Asteroids etc.
Spent a ridiculous amount of time playing it when it came out on the NAMCO collection on PlayStation.
Have purposley not bought it in Xbox or PSP as I will probably end up being divorced.
More recent stuff would have been the likes of Ridge and Tekken. Halo does keep me coming back to do certain missions granted but nothing has had the pull of Galaxians for me.

Recently, Another Century's Episode 2 has been taking up much of my gaming time. Got the game in May, finished it sometime during the summer, and I'm still playing it.
Played one of the extra missions where I managed to kill almost 900 enemies, (got a chain attack of about 45 minutes too) and would've made it to 1000 if the game hadn't crashed. Ah well.
And of course I have to mention Space Invaders, Galaga and other games of their ilk. I always come back to those.
