Wii component cable

Yeah deffo the hidef is great on them, the tv on my mas is good even, i just guess you cant expect the earth for a good price.

To be fair, ?850 isn't that cheap (bought 8 months ago). But standard def on it is crap!

Zelda being the game most have here, it does look better with componant - Image is clearer and its like someone removed the smudge from close up items, this doesnt really change the fact that its a GC game with those giant blocky textures are going to look terrible. When we get to Metriod 3 and Mario Glaxies then those componant leads will be worth their weight, for the current killer app it tweaks a outdated engine. Still tho - even in composite or componant, the art work is amazing.


For other stuff, well I only have Sports but I can tell you now that the menu screens for the Wii itself clear right up. With composite I couldnt see that the empty Wii channels were animated very slighily, nor could I even see the texture of the grass on tennis in game. So yeah - was well worth the money and the trouble: Now to find out who Sonic 1 doesnt like being ressumed with the bloody componant lead.

I emailed on Saturday to ask about stock, and was told they would have some official cables from Japan on Tuesday. Come Tuesday, I was emailed to say they had stock in. Quick paypal off to them, and it arrived today.

just got my component cable thru via ebay and a japanese supplier.

will be very interested to see the effect of it as i've been using the standard red/white/yellow connector cable on a big pioneer plasma via the media box and the pic quality is quite acceptable, which i find very surprising as I'm normally the fussiest bugger going.

Started playing Zelda last night and it was a bit of a shock I have to say. Using composite on a 42" plasma isn't the best really. I'm surprised the graphics seemed so washed out tbh, I'd have thought the Wii was a bit more powerful than what was on display. Just a minor gripe, I'm hoping component will be a wee bit better but I'm not expecting miracles.

Asc - Zelda is a gamecube game just with added Wii controls and 16:9 ratio, the game isnt really a look at on what 3d Wii games should look like. Wait untill Metriod 3 for the first proper glimpse at Wii power, or better yet go download a HD movie from Gametrailers when they played though some of it.

Mine isnt washed out at all.. it's just very very fuzzy/blurry/murky

component is at home so i'll report back on what I personally think the differences are like moving up from composite.
