Well I went ahead and order madcatz one from play.com. Let hope it will be in my sorting office on Wednesday. It is too much to ask for tomorrow.

So who have complain about it and what TV they have. (Apart from Samsung owners)

RE4 will always look a bit **** as it's letterboxed not widescreen.

I would love Nintendo and Capcom to release a patch to allow Resident Evil 4 play on full wide screen 480P on Nintendo wii due to extra cpu power.
But it is about likely as Sony saying Playstation 3 is crap.

Won't happen, the game disc has no code on it to anticipate such a feature - it'd need a rerelease of the game.

But hey, this IS Capcom... come on, give us Resident Evil 4 X

Imagine a quick port of Resident evil 4 with wii control via remote and Nanuck and support 16:9 480P. That will be enough for me

Play.com is packing the cable. Blimey.

So I got my component cable yesterday...and things look noticeably better. I have one VC game, Donkey Kong Country. Thing is, with my component cables...it doesn't even work! I select the DKC channel, the screen goes blank and I get a message saying "mode not supported". The screen stays black and I have to restart my system by switching it off and on again. Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be up? I have a 23" Samsung HDTV. Are the current component cable owners able to play VC games?

                P.S. I have a PAL Wii.

Same here mate, I think it's more to do with certain VC games not supporting the 480 mode than the make of TV. It would be nice if this was stated before you paid for the VC game though as I can't keep moving all my AV stuff just to get at the cables on the back of the TV.

Does just setting the Wii to 480i not work?

toythatkills - Nope, just tried that.

Unwellcat - So this means that if I ever want to play some VC games, I have to switch back to my composite cables? If this is the case, I'm going to demand a refund from Nintendo for spending money on these games.

Yeah, I actually put it on a few hours ago and it looked awful, but I'm sure it looked worse than it did on the Cube!? Maybe I'm just so used to the HD goodness now that I think its worse.

I think so but would like a few other people on here to confirm the same.

just tried all the VC games i have (DKC Ristar Gunstar hero Mario 64 and super star soldier) with the gameplay branded component cable and all worked fine.

You do NOT have to swap to compo****e cable to play VC games

(PAL console set to 480p checked before loading the VC stuff)

maybe delete it and redownload it might help?

could it have something to do with the resume feature?

Still not received my cable from the E-bay HK guy

Finger hovering over the 3rd party cable on Play-asia but I know I'll probably end up with both at once...

                              Edit: Damn it. Caved in!

Using the offical component cable on a PAL Wii and DKC/Golden Axe/Mario 64 all work fine for me
